Welcome to Blue Mist!

Welcome to Blue Mist, a unique and cozy, three-bedroom mountain home with a log exterior, long-range views, an attached garage, a downstairs den and game room, and lots of deck space. Situated on a quiet road surrounded by woods on three sides and long-range views from the back, Blue Mist is only about 5 miles from downtown Blowing Rock, approximately 12 miles from Boone and Valle Crucis, and approximately 17 miles from Banner Elk. Tweetsie Railroad and Appalachian Ski Mountain are both about 9 miles away. Hawksnest Snow Tubing and Zip Lines and Sugar Mountain Ski Resort are about 14 miles away, and Beech Mountain Ski Resort is about 21 miles away. Grandfather Mountain is less than 15 miles away.

Level entry, a level front yard, and level parking make this an easy-access property year-round and an elderly-friendly house. The garage provides direct parking and lower-level access. The rear decks on both levels stretch the width of the house and offer both open-air and covered outdoor living and dining space, with a gas grill and outdoor dining table as well as lounging furniture on the upper/main level deck and additional furniture on the lower deck. Both enjoy long-range views! There is a covered front porch as well.

Step through the front door into a welcoming foyer and the living room, with vaulted ceilings, wood floors, plush leather furniture, an HDTV, and a stone, gas log fireplace. The dining area, with its seating for 6, is a perfect spot to enjoy a meal, surrounded by a wall of windows that frame the picturesque mountain views. The kitchen, conveniently adjacent to the dining table, is fully equipped with stainless appliances. The primary master suite on the main level features a queen bed, an HDTV, windows that offer long-range views, wood floors, and an ensuite bathroom with a jetted tub, separate shower, and a laundry closet with a washer and dryer. There is a second queen bedroom on the main level, with HDTV and vaulted ceilings, and an adjacent hallway bathroom with a tub/shower combination that also services the living area.

The lower level provides direct access to the one-car garage and a half-bathroom. A spacious king-bedroom suite with an HDTV and mountain views awaits, along with a full bathroom with a shower. The den and game room downstairs are a paradise for fun-seekers, with an exterior door that opens to the lower rear deck. The den features comfortable leather sofas, an HDTV, a foosball table, a Pac-Man game, and a full-sized futon that can accommodate 1 or 2 guests. It's the perfect spot for a game night or a cozy movie marathon.

Blue Mist provides modern amenities such as Starlink internet service and YouTube TV programming for all 5 HDTVs, ensuring you stay connected and entertained during your stay. The house also features central heat throughout and central air conditioning on the main level. The downstairs typically stays about 8 to 10 degrees cooler than the main level, and AC is unnecessary.

It’s so good when what you see online is what you get in real life. This was the most comfortable I’ve ever been on a mountain trip. This was a little slice of heaven and I can’t wait to go back!

We really enjoyed our long weekend in Blowing Rock. The cabin had amazing views and was in a very convenient location to everything we wanted to do. The cabin had everything we needed and was very clean. We would definitely stay here again.

Te property was nice enough, but there were issues. We rented the place as a gift to my adult daughter and spouse. It had not been cleaned, dusty everywhere, jetted tub had hair. I even emphasized how important it was for my daughter with allergies that it needed to be clean. We paid for a late check -put . Cleaning lady shows up 2 hours before . They rushed to leave. I did get a refund for 80 extra I had paid to get 2pm checkout. Low rating for ckeanliness

Cabin was very clean, well stocked, and comfortable for all. Views were great during the day and viewing the night sky was an added bonus. Our stay was delightful in this cozy cabin, only 7 minutes or so to shop downtown Blowing Rock and 15 minutes to Boone, would want to go back again! I’d highly recommend this cabin with a view and secluded location to others.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Blue Mist cabin in Blowing Rock, NC. The directions to the cabin were right on point. The instructions on how to unlock the door were exact. (The cabin we stayed in last year, through a different agency, had no instructions and it took us almost an hour to get inside, at night no less, after 3 phone calls to the property management.) Our cabin was VERY, VERY clean in all rooms. Any issues that came up, which was only one, were addressed quickly and efficiently. The cabin offers beautiful scenery right out the back door which you can enjoy on the deck. ? For some constructive feedback: The Welcome Book was not out and visible. We found it on the third day in a kitchen drawer along with the garage door opener. The book also had the ROKU pin number for the TV, so we were unable to watch the shows we like, until then. We had no instructions on how to use the TV so struggled with it most of our stay. The Welcome Book is a red paper folder like the kids use in school, so is pretty beat up. We would suggest using a vinyl 3-prong notebook to make it sturdy and lesson the damage from the bending, folding, etc., and to leave it on the front entranceway table or leave instructions on where it's located. You may want to include the cleanup procedures. Another thing we would suggest is to add disabled bars in the bathroom shower/tub areas and to add the higher toilet seats. We loved the devotional book beside the bed. Maybe add a Bible?
