This place was dirty when we got here. I will give the benefit of the doubt as we asked for early check in. Dirty underwear in drawer. And sticky stuff on tables. No biggie. The biggest issue was my family and friends both were experiencing skin irritation. Glo

The living room a.c didn't work as well as the bedroom's a.c. The tv in the living area needs to be updated. Tvs are very inexpensive these days.

Rental was double-booked, listed on multiple sites. Never even got inside... pulled up and someone was already in the place! Our weekend was totally ruined and we couldn't find another rental because it was a 3-day weekend and was 10pm on a Friday night. Ended up just driving 2 hours home. Beware of this one!

The hot tub was not clean. Water murky and foam on top. We were told a code for a keypad on the door, that was absent, used the lockbox but you should update the info. The Butler device for the hot tub was gone, the instructions are way out of date. The porch and stairs need a good pressure cleaning Mildew and cob webs

Loved the location, very cozy and isolated but close enough to your fellow cabin dwellers that you dont feel completely alone. Very quiet and peaceful. My mom and I were staying for a family wedding that was nearby and the cabin was perfect for us. Clean and accommodating. Hot tub felt amazing, especially on the cooler nights. Highly recommend, especially if you're looking for something with an intimate feel while being near to shoppes and eaterys.

Second year going to Cavender Cabins, last year was nothing short of perfect, this last trip however, the cabin was simply dirty, hair brush, dirty socks, dried out food stuck in the oven or dried out cookie dough stucked in the drawer under the oven among dead flies in the kitchen ustensils' drawer. The trash outside the cabin had never been picked up by the previous occupants of the cabin, I had multiple communication with the owner, always promising that the cleaning staff would be gwtting it the next day, in 7 days stay, the trash container never got picked up, no cleaning staff cane any day, we had to harvest full garbage bags in the cabin since there was no room for it outside in the designated trash disposal. Also since the previous trip was awesome and we had a blast grilling on the porch, we got lots of food to enjoy on the grill. To my surprise, the grill did not work, rusted through burners inside the grill. I mentionned it to the owner who replied that they had removed the grill from the listed amenities of the cabin. Well it was still on the pictures of the porch, we were there last year, easy to assume that it is the same set up. There is now, after my remark, a note on the listing that warns that the grill on the pictures does not work. The location is like heaven, it is such an amazing place, we love going there but the person in charge, Emile, really does not care about the quality of stay that you get. We are really disappointed.

Cabin was dirty, floors filthy and dust on every surface. A/c was broken. Linens and towels were dirty/musty, smelled terrible (even found a floss pick in the sheets!) - had to supply our own. Bathtub was slimy and shower was broken. Pots and pans were rusted and unusable. Messaged and called host several times and had ZERO response. Even the “Cavender Creek Cabins” number went straight to voice mail and no one responded. Trash was so full we had to leave ours inside the cabin. Hot tub cover was broken so could only open halfway. Toiletries were promised but none actually there. Only positive was the location. We made the best of it but would never return to this rental.

This cabin on the creek is a quiet respite from daily life. Upon entering, it was immaculate. We used the hot tub while we were there. There's something very relaxing about being in the hot tub while listening to it rain. There was a grill on the front porch also, but we did not use it. Just a couple of minor things: A couple of the bulbs need to be changed in the bedroom, and one in the bathroom, and the place could use a full length mirror.

We had a nice stay over the weekend. We were looking forward to grilling, but the grill was pretty dirty, outside and inside the grill, so we did not use it. The hot tub was nice. The liner in the shower could be changed as well. The scenery was beautiful. It was nice and quiet.

Stayed here before cabin 7 became Vrbo listing. Cabin has degraded. Blinds need replacing, not as clean, no spatula for myriad old fry pans, one stove burner not working, what happened to the useful notebook with helpful instructions? On positive note, the former ragged sofa has been replaced.

Hot tub had an odd smell; water was cloudy. Grill is not mentioned in online listing because it does not work. This cabin doesn’t have a dishwasher, which is ok, but there weren’t any dish towels. Bring soap for shower, there is only a glass dispenser for sink. Use a towel for a bath mat. Coffee maker uses pods and grounds, but no filters were there, nor pods. The grounds at cavender creek are beautiful!!

Pros:The cabin is great. Even though there are cabins so short distance away, we have wonderful privacy. The cabin was very clean. Con: The garbage bin by the front steps was overflowing when we arrived. There were no instructions inside telling us how to deal with garbage and we just took hours with us. It got a little cool while we were there, and I contacted the owner asking about a blanket. The response was that if it the laundry had been picked up, it would be in the closet. There was a large plastic bag of laundry, but we could not tell if it had been washed or not so we just left it alone. As I said, the cabin is wonderful. The owner just needs to work on communicating better.

Overall beautiful location. Nice little cabin. Maintenance needs some work- grill didnt work and AC in the main room was barely working so it was very hot in the main room. Since the grill didn't work cooking made the main house very hot. Hot tub worked decently but half the jets didt work and it smelled fairly bad as if it hasn't been cleaned in a long time. Location was beautiful and close to some great activities in town.

We recently enjoyed a three night stay at this quaint, little cabin. It is on the banks of Cavender Creek in a beautiful location. It is conveniently located near Dahlonega but just far out enough to give the feel of a secluded mountain cabin. The cabin was well suppled with the essentials and in a central location for the vineyards and all the other activities in the area. We would recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet and restful mountain getaway.
