Cabin was wonderful and is in a great location. The host was kind enough to check out the roads for us before the trip since there had been snow. Would love to go back!

A great mountain cabin. Cozy, Comfortable, Private, Quiet. Beautiful Deck & Screened Porch that looks out to the mountain forest. Very nice and private Hot Tub. The owner took care to check the Hot tub water and set the temp for our arrival. Beds were like a fine hotel. Newest technology TVs everywhere with nice streaming capability.A place that feels like home when you walk in. Nice utensils and extras like wraps, filters, trash bags, etc. Owner was immediately accessible and friendly. 10 minute drive to Highlands Main St. The beautiful Knotty pine throughout gives you that mountain cabin feeling. We had a wonderful weekend in the Highlands.

My family and I enjoyed staying in the cabin. Trees surrounded the property. Loved that we could grill out a few nights and use the hot tub. Close to town and to Dry Falls, Bridal veil Falls and Cliffside lake. Close to on the Veranda where we had a delicious dinner. We enjoyed our stay

We have a family of 5 with small kids and it was perfect. The place was clean. Close to town, hiking, etc. Real wood fireplace was great, just buy wood in town and you're good. back porch was great. Homely decor made it feel welcoming. Nothing bad about this place.

The property is nice and clean, and we truly enjoyed our stay. I would say that if you plan on staying here, don’t arrive in any vehicle larger than a small sedan. The entrance and the parking is tight.

We had an absolutely amazing time for our 1st anniversary. Relaxing and beautiful neighborhood. It was very close to town and just a short drive to a couple waterfalls. The outdoor hot tub and wood stove sealed the deal for me. We loved spending time out there watching tv or in the hot tub. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend just spending time together.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. A great weather escape from the heat and humidity of Charlotte area and enjoyed so many beautiful hikes in the area. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen and baths so well appointed! The cabin even had a fire pit and firewood. Nice added feature. We learned that The Laurel is the local magazine and they have a monthly calendar of events online. Check it out when you come visit the area. Rick was always available before, during and after our trip. We would have preferred having screens on the windows so we could open up for cross breeze and fresh air as it was a bit musty. They did have an air freshener and ceiling fans. Also, we learned that many neighborhoods (including this one) are “single lane” for cars but are not one way driving , so drive cautiously and be prepared to back up if you see another car. Not real easy on steep curvy roads.

This cabin is in a great location close to town and yet in a quiet and secluded neighborhood. It has all the comforts of home; a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, very clean, and tastefully decorated. My family and I enjoyed our stay and loved sitting on the deck surrounded by trees. We will be back!
