Our 2nd stay! We enjoyed Carla's cabin as much as our first stay...lovely private area, the hot tub was perfect along with the firepits in the evening. Short drive to DeSoto Falls, beautiful park. The cabin was cozy and clean, all the extras were much appreciated. Carla is the best host :)

Such a cute cabin! We enjoyed our stay, took our 2 pups to DeSoto Falls just a short drive away. The hot tub and fire pits were great. We will be staying again on our trip back north. Our host Carla is the best, she is very quick to reply to any questions. Highly recommend this cabin!

The property was in the woods which is what we wanted. We were close to many hiking trails in DeSoto State Park and Little River Canyon. The place was very quiet and relaxing. One drawback about any cabins that I stay that are in the woods is that you typically compromise with having a bit of dirt and bugs. However, this cabin was so clean that you would have thought that it had been newly listed as a rental. The kitchen had everything that I needed and the charcoal grill was in great shape as well. The hot tub was at that 102 to 103 temperature so it was perfect and the jets were in good order which is not typical of what I find at most rentals. I have to say that this hot tub might have been the most clean one that I have used. Again, I accept that there will be some film around the sides of hot tubs that for public use. But this hot tub was spotless. It sits under a canopy because there are a lot of mature trees surrounding but I still kept the cover on the instant I got out because the pollen from the oak trees were starting to pop and I couldn't bear to see it get dirty. It's a small hot tub but since my wife refuses to get in these things it is way large enough for me and certainly could accommodate four people. The master bedroom was good. The shower was sufficient and the water was plenty hot if you prefer it that way. The mattress was comfortable for me. My wife communicated a few times with the owner. Carla seems so genuine and courteous.

Our stay at the cabin was so peaceful & quiet & a perfect place to unwind as we celebrated our anniversary. It’s so clean & has all of the comforts of home that you don’t want to check out. We really enjoyed our outside time at both of the fire pits & the hot tub which were nice & relaxing. Carla is the perfect host!

This was our second time visiting this great property, and it was even better than the first which was perfect. We love the location, the whole cabin is so clean and welcoming, and it is stocked with anything you need. We’ve already booked our next trip. Can’t recommend this place enough.

We began to relax moment we arrived! It was one of the most peaceful places we have ever stayed. It's a quick ride into Mentone and the evenings were spent in the hot tub and finished with a night cap on the front porch! We will be coming back to visit Mentone again and we will definitely try to stay here again!

The cabin is perfect, cozy and delightful, and even better than the pictures! Thoughtful touches abound. The natural beauty of Mentone is breathtaking and the cabin is convenient to all sights of the area. The owner offers great communication and very helpful recommendations. If I could give more than five stars I would.

This was my favorite vacation rental stay ever. When my wife and I arrived, the cabin and the fire pit out front were tastefully decorated for Halloween. The cabin is beautiful and well-built, with very nice interior decorating. It features art with a nod to the locale, including some wonderful art created by the host. Hot tub and fire pits were a nice perk. The cabin is also tucked away from the main road. The cabin is located almost perfectly between Mentone and Desoto State Park. Our weekend of hiking and relaxation would not have been the same without this stay. Thanks, Carla!

The house was very nice. Well stocked to move right in. Very nice area. Easy to get in.

We didn't know if we were at the property because the Fall decor looked like home. Such a nice touch. We continued to find the same decor touches throughout the home.

Host was always quick to answer any and all questions. Provided items I requested. I even love the housekeeper. We were treated just as a quest should be. Would highly recommend this location. And any others she may have. EXCELLENT service. Oh and the hot tub was great.

The cabin was a perfect getaway for my husband and I. It was very easy to get to and the drive up was nice. Next time we will plan to go for a weekend....all things to do in Mentone is not available Monday thru Wednesday. We were able to enjoy a wonderfl Breakfast at Hatter cafe this morning (Thursday) before heading home. We drove over to Fort Payne and really enjoyed going thru the band Alabama Fan Club Museum. We will definitely be back to Mentone and hope to rent from Carla again, she is the most gracious host.

Mentone found a place in my heart back in 2014 when I dropped off one of my daughters at sleepaway camp. We've been visiting Mentone every summer since. Bearfoot has been our favorite cabin thus far. All the comforts you need are in one place. It is clean and cozy! Perfectly set in the woods, you feel like you are miles away from civilization. In reality, you are only about 10 minutes from the restaurants and shopping, and even closer to Desoto Falls. Tucked into the woods, you do not hear the typical sounds of vehicles going by. Instead, those noises we are accustomed to hearing all day long were replaced with the pleasant singing of birds, the leaves of the trees blowing in the wind, and, to my surprise, the hooves of the deer as they are about to cross in front of the porch.Truly a pleasant experience! It is my youngest daughter's last year at camp, as she has now reached the age limit for campers. Her request was to return to this cabin for a mom/daughter trip in the future. I want to return too!

We absolutely loved the cabin. The owner was easy to get in touch with. The cabin was exactly as described. The location was perfect and beautiful. Everything was within a quick distance from the cabin. Our family had plenty of room and enjoyed every minute.
