Excellent place to stay. So many great hikes close by. With no WiFi, it's good to plan day trips ahead of time, but cell service/WiFi is just down the road. Quiet location, walking distance to lake & trails. Love the bathhouse. Didn't miss TV - bluetooth speaker in cabin, so music is available. We've stayed twice and will likely go back.
This was our second stay at Connie's and it has only improved. The cabin is adorable and was able to accommodate our family of 4 + dog without feeling too squeezed. Host was helpful and friendly.
To say this was a disappoint is an understatement. The bed was either a 3/4 or double pushed against the wall. Two women could not fit comfortably. I spent the 2nd night on the hide-a-bed. It was so worn one had to sleep between them for comfort. The 3rd night I opted to sleep on the couch which is narrow. The info on the outside boathouse was accurate & it was very clean and heaters made for a warm bath. Note - no showers. The location is beautiful but I would not return or recommend to anyone when two have to sleep in a bed. Cleanliness was rated low due to the amount of dust on the plastic flowers and lace curtains.
Such a blessing to stay in this comfy cabin Rich in family history, the cabin has an earthy feel like welcome home. Flower boxes with beautiful flowers, a porch with a great view, quite area, there is a lake a short walk away, get your fishing license from Colorado or just sit and look at the moitain reflection in the lake
Love the cabin. Love the location. Can't believe that the host feels it is ok to request that guests bring their own towels. Also, there is no tissue or trash can in the bath house, so you will prrobably have to bring your own, or go back and forth between tasks to the toilet room. Ridiculous. Go, but be prepared!!!!!
Outside area grass unmanaged and dirty. Resulted in a mosquito haven and spiders. HOT. BRING YOUR OWN FAN. Not like the pictures.
I felt safe here traveling alone. If you walk maybe 3/4 of a mile to end of County Rd where cabin is located you hit a beautiful Colorado Trail Trailhead so I went hiking there daily. I am an avid hiker and chose this cabin so I could hike daily. Cabin is a short drive to explore downtown Buena Vista and downtown Salida, both adorable towns. Wifi and internet access did not work on my phone from cabin however a drive maybe 10 miles toward town and I was able to check text messages and emails if I wanted. This very cute cabin has gorgeous blooming flowers in window boxes and around the property. A hummingbird feeder keeps colorful hummingbirds visiting you all day right out the kitchen window.
Stayed for seven nights. Very relaxing place. Was a bit leery about outside bathhouse, but quickly got used to it and found it no issue at all. Other amenities on property made for several outdoor entertainment options. Would stay again!
From the minute we arrived everything was perfect. Connie dropped by to introduce herself and give us some history. The cabin is so cute and charming and we could see the loving detail she put in every inch of the place. Hope to stay there again!
Nice place. Separate bath house not an issue. We would have liked more air flow. Only two windows open and it got pretty warm during the day.
Great spot for a getaway. It was quiet and in a great location. Cozy and unique.
