Stayed Oct 24, 2025I’m over these vacation rentals that’ve been bought by investment firms, flipped and turned around as cheaply/fast as possible. This was the typical vacation rental from an investment firm. Cheapest “amenities”. Expired/old things for coffee & tea. Sugar packets stirrers, from Racetrac, QuikTrip (which are free).Imagine spending over 300 a night and seeing things stocked (that’re free) from a gas station. At least when you rent a hotel, those are good quality, not expired, and not taken from a gas station.Same for the other “amenities”. Shampoo bottle that’s been used. Couch that’s worn out. Cheapest TV’s from 10 years ago. A fridge that doesn’t fit the space, they just slid it in there, not even straight, that hasn’t been dusted on top.Like almost every other vacation rental, it hasn’t been fully dusted in a month or more. Some places haven’t been dusted in so long, it’s spotless underneath what’s there. Cobwebs in various places, and hanging off the fan, I could only get 1 pic that would show it.Dust/mold blew out of the HVAC unit, when we turned on the AC.Flooring in the bathroom is peeling up in places. And most of the lights outside don’t work. Maybe it sounds like I’m nitpicking, but I don’t want to rent a place for any amount with burned out light bulbs, cobwebs and dust, TV’s over 10 years old, worn out furniture, and everything that can be done with minimal to no effort. You wouldn’t accept a hotel like this, why should you accept this?
