Please read the notes at the end of this description.

This property personifies the word peace and serenity. The cabin is secluded in a wooded lot with 'surround-sound' made by the rushing Chestatee River. The house is made from 'all-natural' materials with all wood walls, floors, and ceilings down to a river-stone fireplace. It's like having the outdoors inside with you. The house has 3 bedrooms which sleeps 8. Upstairs is surrounded on three sides by decks. Downstairs has a longdeck facing the river. The house overlooks the Chestatee River. Down at the river is a screened in porch with fans, a fire pit, tables and chairs. The river is a great place to read, fish, sleep in the hammock, picnic, cook over the campfire or cook on the charcoal grill as you enjoy the peace of the river. The river area is like being in another world where you and your friends or family members will feel like they are the only people in the world. You will enjoy the house but be enchanted by the river and surrounding area. There is a charcoal grill on the left hand side of the deck Please bring your own charcoal and empty the ash over the railing.

The driveway down to the river is steep. If you choose to drive down there, be sure to keep your foot on the gas as you drive up the driveway to avoid getting stuck. If you are concerned if your car will make it back up, please just walk down the driveway.

The driveway also has some cracks from being uprooted by trees. Please drive very, very slowly especially as you enter the forked driveway to the cabin. We are working on fixing it, but there is a concrete shortage.

The cabin uses a well for its water supply. Please space out showers and conserve water so the well has a chance to pump more water into the cabin. The cabin is also on septic tank. Please only flush septic-safe toilet paper and use the trash can for anything else.

Note: There is a $25 charge per person for each person over 6 people.

Note: Dogs are allowed. Dog must be totally house-trained and cannot be in beds or furniture. Please be respectful of this rule. There is a $50 fee for the first pet and $20 for each additional pet.
Please contact owner for further details and limitations.

Note: The cancellation policy that I use is in the rental agreement. My cancellation policy is more lenient than the one shown on the listing.

We loved our stay! My family and I both agreed it was probably are most favorite place we stayed in Georgia so far! Although it was very secluded we would not adventure out at night because we were afraid of the roads. We were lucky enough to see deers and that made the trip even more special! All the beds were comfy too and the place was nicely stocked and cleaned. Overall we would stay again!

Very nice cabin. We really enjoyed our stay. The only issue were the Wi-Fi instructions listed are not correct and the driveway is really bad. Only SUVs and Pickups should attempt to go down the driveway…cars should park on the street.

We had a great stay! Location is great went to Preachers Rock , the Swinging Bridge , Helen and Dahlonaga. The driveway is steep. The rooms are big and lots of outdoor space.looking forward to renting again next summer and do some tubing on the river.

The cabin was lovely. It was nice to be able to let our dogs into the deck because there are gates. I loved that there was an open and covered part of the deck because it did rain a little and we could still sit outside. The beds were so comfortable! I've never had such a good night's sleep the first night away from home. Just a word of caution - we had to take a screenshot of the code to get into the cabin because we had NO cell service and I had to drive back down the mountain to get it. But once in, we had a wonderful stay. The host warned us about the driveway being uprooted so we made sure to bring my husband's truck and a small SUV and it was fine. Thank you for the relaxing weekend!

Great property and we really enjoyed our Labor Day weekend. Only two suggestions. Improve the internet/wifi and the driveway needs widening and concrete work. It was OK for us as we have vehicles with 4WD. Our dogs loved the place. Thanks for accommodating us all!

My family enjoyed 7 days at the cabin, Cabin was bigger than the pictures, had 2 decks, plenty of cooking utensils and pots and pans.Tge cabin was very clean and bed were comfortable. Some of the other reviews complained about the driveway and internet. The driveway is not bad, just 2 humps that you can drive slower over them. The river behind the cabin is beautiful, we spent time in the wster everyday. We never had any problems with the jnternet, so i don't know what others were saying it didn't work. The xabin is in a very quiet area abd close to both Dahlonega and Cleveland. The owner was very fast to respond with any questions we had. I would definitely stay there again.

The property is inviting, surrounded by trees and a river that you can hear. Inside was clean and comfortable, with a stunning photography. Perfect to be off the grid; however, we were here for work. Other than the wi-fi being precarious, there is little negative about the cabin. We found out the last day the dryer didn't work, which created some issues, but we managed to improvise. The biggest issue, and it probably would have been a deal breaker had I known, is the driveway. First, you go just over a mile on a narrow one lane road praying no other vehicles come in the opposite direction. When you turn in thedriveway, you go straight down and have to make a sharp left to go to the cabin. To make matters worse, the pavement is busted up and jagged outcroppings of concrete. The first trip in, my van didn't drag, but I wish that was the case every time. I am submitting pictures so that you can try to visualize it. On the sides, the earth has eroded where there are holes your vehicle can slip into, which makes navigating the other hazards perilous. Then there is the drop off of the island the cabin is on that you have to consider. My van is now sporting a dent thanks to a tree root that wasn't visible but I hit. The screened in enclosure at the lake is rarely used by its appearance. This is not a surprise since you go basically vertical to get to it. I had teenage boys who even said it was difficult. I wouldn't take kids or elderly down because they have to make back up.

It was not as advertised and with no wifi a nightmare. Could not use our phones no bars. And without 4 wheel drive it would be impossible. Terrible experience.

Overall pretty nice, the leaves could have have been cleaned up a little better, on the decks and on the path down to the creek. It was a little treacherous walking down the path. Pretty place with lots of room. We really enjoyed the fireplace but never figured out how to light the gas fire starter we ended up buying some fire starters from Walmart but they worked well. Really do need to work on the driveway, fortunately we were in a truck and it wasn’t that big of a deal but wouldn’t have attempted it in a car. We enjoyed our stay.

Overall the cabin needs some TLC. Ice machine wasn't working on the fridge, microwave had been damaged before we got there and we had to buy a new one ( we were reimbursed quickly), heat wasn't working downstairs, but they fixed it 3 days later. Fireplace was wonderful and the owners were super nice.later. We

A few friends came to Helen and Dahlonega to see the Hallmark Christmas towns. Both were beautiful and we had such a wonderful time. We were only 15 to 20 minutes away from either town. The cabin was nice, clean and cozy. The sound of the river below was very relaxing. The beds have memory foam and were comfy. Bobbi was a great host.

My wife and I were looking for a nice cabin that was far enough from town to feel like we were truly out in the country. This charming cabin fit the bill perfectly! We enjoyed our 10 days much that we rarely left the property. The river is beautiful; the location is breathtaking; and the cabin is perfect.

The cabin is comfortable with gorgeous photos on the wall and art. Outside sitting areas are great, one of which is screened in. Master upstairs and another two br downstairs along with bathroom 2. The river location down the back driveway is amazing. Due to the very steep hill to the river I wouldn’t recommend for elders or very small children If you plan to get to the water. It’s (river) among my favorite places I’ve ever experienced. The sound of the river from the property is great in itself.

The cabin itself and location was nice; however, the furniture and bedding was old and musty. The deck needed sweeping, had leaves, twigs and debris. The shower curtain had mold on the back. Towels and bath cloths needed replacing. No blinds downstairs.
