We loved our stay at Catahoula Lodge. It was perfect for a family of seven. Plenty of room. We loved the closeness to DuPont Forest and Pisgah National Forest. The cabin was very peaceful and a great place to gather for s’mores and lots of porch time in the rocking chairs. We loved it!!

Amazing host - super responsive and friendly. Clean place. Details that make the experience memorable. Kitchen is stocked with spices and different cooking utensils and options. Bedding was clean. And the area….Devine. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not luxury but it’s nice and full of charming character and takes me back to my roots. Before we got there the kids wanted to sleep in the basement but once there no one slept in the basement and they opted for the tiny upstairs loft beds to be closer to us. There’s so much lovely hiking around and the town is adorable. Check out the Sherwood Forrest golf area while there. Low cost low pressure family fun time.

Beautiful property and host was very pleasant and responsive. House does have a smoky smell but I’m sure that’s just from the wood stove that must have been used prior to our arrival.

The property offers all the amenities just as they are listed. The fenced back yard was great for our dogs. The kitchen was well appointed. The wrap around deck offers both covered and open options. Which allows you to enjoy the outside no matter the weather. The flowers and blooming bushes around the front of the home were beautiful.Great cabin to spend time with family.

Comfortable, plenty of space, really beautiful! Some bugs, spiders etc here and there and it needed an airing out but overall clean and fit our group well. We had a great time!

Excellent property. Kitchen well stocked, comfortable beds and linens. Two porches is a bonus.

The house was great for our family and dogs. We loved having space to spread out and the fenced in yard was so helpful. We used the fir pit and thoroughly enjoyed a great spring weekend. We did some hiking, Mtn biking, and a trip to Brevard.

We had a good stay overall — the home and location were great, and the owner was flexible in helping us prepone our booking by a day. The only issue was the toilet flush not working properly, and the response to that concern was slower than expected. Otherwise, it was a pleasant experience.

Serene, charming home near beautiful hiking places. A home that loves birds. When you sit outside on the porch, not only does it feel playful but completely calm as you are surrounded by nature. You become nature. You breathe in nature. A place to escape chaos and to become more centered.My dogs enjoyed the fenced backyard. That was very helpful for us. Listening and sitting around the fireplace at night was nice and relaxing. It would give that warmth we all needed to contemplate our trip.

Location was between our son and his family in Hendersonville and our other son and his wife in Nashville. We got to see both of our boys. Very pet friendly house. Nice fenced in back yard.

We had a great time at Cedar Mountain! The beds are comfortable, living spaces spacious for different groups, and outdoor space was perfect for any time of day or group. Our old dog was comfortable inside and out!

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. The trip to Brevard is lovely and easy. Access to trails and the wonders of this area of western North Carolina is excellent. Only issue to note was the mildewy smell in the basement.

Great & comfortable house in a beautiful setting in the woods. Very clean and well stocked. Excellent access via shirt drives to various hiking trails and only 20 minutes from Brevard. Would definitely come back

The description was accurate with the exception of accessibility to a stream. My husband spent 20 minutes navigating the dense underbrush and when he finally found it there were signs posted private property do not enter, it was apparently not properly owners stream. Access to stream was a significant reason we booked this location.

We have stayed at this house before and would stay again. Highly recommended. The house has been perfect for our family and dogs. The house itself provides a cozy, mountain cabin vibe. We love the chill, inviting firepit area. The location is perfect as it is close to Pisgah, downtown Brevard, and DuPont. The owners are responsive and great to work with.

Family weekend to see pretty place. Check in was easy and property was beautiful with tons of space inside. Really enjoyed the house.

Awesome location if you hike every day like we do! Never drove more than 25 minutes to a trailhead. Most days it was less than 15 minutes’ drive. Good cafes 5 minutes away. Huge, quiet front porch where we spent most of our non-hiking time was surrounded by trees.

Cabin was great. Enough room inside and out for every one including the 2dogs. Only problem we had was some of the dishes were not clean and some of the kitchen counters were sandy but nothing that soap and water could not handle. Also you do have unwanted house guests…flies…but the kids( young and old) had fun catching them and throwing them outside. Overall we had a GREAT time!

Property was as described. It was My wife, my 2 Daughters and their families ( total of 7) . House set up perfectly for us with 3 floors of living space. The property owner was very nice to work with

Our stay was great. Visited the pretty place chapel for aun raise for one of my sons that passed in December 07,2024 but we only had buried him 2 weeks prior and it was his 21st birthday. Wonderful place to relax and enjoy sharing memories of Jacob..

Very spacious for our group of 5 adults! Kitchen was well stocked. Loved the wood burning stoves that add the perfect warmth and coziness. Perfect location near a lot of hiking, Pretty Place is a must see! The fenced in yard was perfect for our dogs. Will definitely check availability if in the area again. Owner was very responsive and accommodating.
