Cedar Log Cabin <10 mins to Main St, 2 Fireplaces, Fast Sat Wifi, Hot Tub

Casa Sueno was everything we hoped it would be. All five of us, and my service dog Tess, had a wonderful relaxing stay. I live on a barrier island in Florida, and wanted a woodsy rural setting. I was very content to stay in the cabin and only went out a few times, to shop, see Highlands and visit a waterfall. My daughter in law stayed in the cabin the whole time because she found driving on the mountain roads scary. My sons ventured out a lot and took various hikes in the area. The bedrooms were ample and beds super comfortable. No problem with the laundry. Kitchen utensils were minimum, but adequate. Appliances were new and functioned well. This was important, since we ate all are meals at the cabin. Our host was responsive to our needs. I would highly recommend Case Sueno to anyone looking for a getaway in the eastern mountains.

Morning coffee on the porch watching the sun was perfect! The hot tub was an added bonus. Not too far from town so it was a good location. Driveway is quite steep so heads up on that. There was plenty of firewood and the house was completely ready and stocked.

Our stay started off a little rocky as a tree was blocking the driveway up to the cabin when we arrived. When I contacted the host, he quickly called a tree service and had them out there in 1-2 hours to clear the driveway so we could make it up to the house. Otherwise, the cabin was great and we had a great stay. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We had a girls weekend getaway and this lovely cabin in the woods fit the bill perfectly. The host was quick to respond to questions and the house was very accommodating. We enjoyed the sunrise on the deck with our morning coffee and the sunset from the hot tub. There were Christmas decorations up which was a nice touch. All and all we had a great weekend and would definitely recommend this house.

The property was not as advertised. We were very disappointed in the overall condition of the property. Many things about the cabin need attention….such as the carpets/rugs need to be professionally cleaned or best, replaced, the windows need cleaning, the comforter in the Master was stained and had an unpleasant odor, the Master in general was not up to par. It was cold with only a space heater to supply heat if you didn’t want to use the fireplace. The listing indicated that a washer and dryer was available which it was, but it was not accessible as it was in a locked room. All in all, I can’t in good faith recommend this property.

The house was comfortable but needed a few things fixed. One toilet ran continuously. The outside light was not bright. Leak under the kitchen sink . The screen on the front door needs replacing. It needs deep cleaning. However the hot tub was warm and clean and we enjoyed that and the firepit was nice but stairs need railing and lighting. We did enjoy our stay and would stay again if these things were fixed. Lighting.

Beautiful property and location. Loved the hot tub and fireplaces and happy to be able to bring our quad ped family member! Lovely areas in town to walk the dog, botanical gardens, impressive dog park and multiple waterfall trails. Thanks for a great stay!

We had a wonderful week at Karl’s Cedar Log Cabin. Location is excellent due to the convenience to downtown Highlands yet felt very private. We prepared several meals and the kitchen was stocked with everything needed to cook. Beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend.

The cabin is cozy and beautiful. The open concept kitchen/dining/family room is a great gathering space. The spacious master bedroom is amazing with it's own fireplace and sitting area. We enjoyed the hot tub and sitting on the large porch. The location is remote and the access road isn't in great shape, but the cabin and grounds were outstanding. We did not have good cell service due to the remote location, and the wifi is just adequate, but apparently the best available to that address.

Truly a tranquil retreat in the woods. We stayed in this cozy and charming cabin on a 3 generation family trip to Highlands. The space comfortably accommodated our family of 6 and had everything we needed. Our young kids were in the bunk room, my senior parents were very comfortable in the huge master and my husband and I were in the third bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked with all cooking utensils and appliances, there were plenty of games and books, WiFi worked great and TV had streaming access when we were up for watching movies. The porch was perfect for morning coffee and the kids loved exploring around the property and walking down to the fire pit. The hot tub was a family hit. It was also a quick 10 minutes to town and the supermarket. The host was easily accessible and responsive for any questions we had during our stay. Would recommend and would love to visit again.

This cute log cabin in the woods is close to Highlands, hiking and waterfalls - all the natural beauty of the Appalachians. Inside things are well represented by the photos. We loved all the bear decor! There was a lot of rain before and during our stay, which might be why the inside was a bit musty. While the kitchen is well supplied, you'll want to bring some of the basics, like dish soap. Outdoor spaces were not very clean. Overall, a pleasant couple of nights!

Our stay was excellent, the house perfect for 3 adults and 3 kids. We enjoyed the swing and rockers, the hot tub, the grill, the fire pit (s’mores). The only thing we didn’t do was use the fireplaces (we wanted to but it was a bit too warm). Excellent communication and a lovely place to enjoy all that Highlands offers.

Wonderful stay. Private, quiet and secluded. House layout is nice with spacious rooms. Hot tub, fire pit for smores, close to hiking areas and to town…hit every mark on our family’s checklist. Owners were so kind and attentive with quick response times and readily available for any questions. Easy check-in, checkout process. Very memorable vacation.

The property is very nice and secluded. Very spacious interior, so plenty of room. It is located in an area with lots to do like hiking and waterfalls. The only downside was the steepness of the driveway.

This cabin is a gem! From the expansive wraparound porch that overlooks the beautiful forest to the well stocked kitchen and plenty of firewood for the dual fireplaces this House of Dreams” makes for a delightful experience. The hot-tub tops it all off making the whole experience very relaxing. We would pick this gem in the mountains again!

Perfect location for a birthday getaway. The cabin was cozy, the was comfortable, and they thought of everything. The fireplace was set-up and ready to go. We were given great instructions for everything.

Highlands is a great little town up in the mountains This place is a wonderful log cabin with 2 wood burning fireplace. The owner thought of everything. Tons of cut wood. Kitchen had full compliment of pots and pans and spices. Hot tub on the deck was another bonus. I could go on and on.Great weekend

Wow - what a wonderful warm and welcoming cabin. Lacked for nothing. SO comfy! Beautifully appointed but not intimidatingly so. Loved all the Bears and the home was already nicely decorated for the season. As described, close to town but perfectly private and quiet. Definitely a place to return to! Management always responsive and positive!

This cabin was perfect for our stay. We were less than 10 minutes from Main Street where we did a little shopping and had lunch at The Ugly Dog and breakfast the next morning at the Black Bear. I highly recommend both. The cabin itself is gorgeous and very clean. It had everything and anything you could need during your stay. Karl was just a phone call or text away.

We had a wonderful time. Everything is as pictured. The home is very clean and the owner has provided lots of extras that made our stay more enjoyable.

Great house - truly is only 10mins from the center of town. The beds were super comfortable as were all of the accommodations. I communicated with the host and he was very communicative and replied quickly. This is a great option for families or couples traveling together as there are lots of sleeping arrangement options. The master suite was great! I would highly recommend this wonderful home for your next stay. You will not go wrong with this stunner.

Very nice. Close to everything but also private. We sat on the porch every night and it was perfect. Wish we had more of our family with us, plenty of room.
