Other cabins on the same property were close by, but the place felt pleasantly remote at the end of a 2-mile driveway off a dirt road. The views of the lake were amazing and there were loons, owls, and hummingbirds. There is a nice hiking trail—short, with steps where it gets steep, and with a bench halfway that has a fantastic view and a place in the middle to set your drink. Everything was as advertised and the few questions that came up were answered immediately. We'd go again! It seemed like most people were there for boating and fishing, but we weten't, and we still loved it.
This cozy charmer is a great place to get away from it all. My family enjoyed a long weekend here in July. It’s a beautiful place to relax & unwind.
Perfect lake getaway!
Property was very clean. Hosts Peter and Teresa were fantastic. Lovely views! Very quiet. Only drawback of the experience was a phone call from property manager stating that we hadn't paid. My husband had paid in full weeks previous and it was nerve wracking to think she couldn't see the payment.
This was our first time at Vintage Vermillion. The service and hospitality were second to none, from the booking process to check out. Our camp host went well out of his way to accommodate our stay. He is the epitome of “Minnesota nice”. We caught a ton of fish and enjoyed using the BBQ each night. Bed was comfy and an assortment of pillows were available. Very clean and internet worked well! Highly recommend. PS we missed the part about bringing our own towels but again, our camp host came to the rescue!! Thanks Loyd ☺️
Everyone we worked with was very helpful and accommodating. The cabin location was perfect as we could look out over the lake for every meal. We especially loved making coffee each morning and walking down to the different seating areas along the water and simply watch nature around us. We took out the paddle boat and canoe and went on all the hiking trails around the property. Loyd checked on us each day to make sure we had everything we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
