There is a new community firepit, horseshoe pits and cornhole game in front of the Grand Lodge by the playground.

The Lobby, located at the front of the property by Fall River Road, offers a paid guest laundry room, pamphlets for local attractions, and a coffee bar. You can access the door with your cabin code.

The Neighborhood:

Fall River Road has access to Rocky Mountain National Park's north entrance and is lined on each side of the street with cabins and resorts. Even so, this area is in the remote Rocky Mountains and feels very secluded. We often have wild animals such as deer and elk on our property.

Getting Around:

The easiest way to get around is by car- you do not need 4WD to access our property. We provide free parking. We are only minutes from one of the entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Our roads in Amberwood are paved and may be slick when it is icy or snowy. We do our best to keep them clear for you!

The city of Estes Park has a shuttle that they run in the summer months and there is a stop within walking distance to the cabins.

Other Things to Note:

We are in the wilderness of Colorado. There are bears, elk, deer, sheep and numerous other wild animals that also call the mountains home. Respect their space and do not keep any trash or food outside unattended. We have an animal proof dumpster on our property for any trash.

The cabin was cozy, the heated floors devine! We appreciated that it was dog friendly and clean! So nice to be outside of town, yet close enough to enjoy Estes Park. We would stay here again, definitely!

Very cozy and comfortable being in a studio we knew it would be a little small. We’re not large people so it worked perfectly are two small dogs had a great time as well. Saw lots of wild game right in the area. Excellent area for walking up and down the sidewalk. We had a wonderful time. We would love to do this again. Thanks for a wonderful vacation. Thanks Rick Bertoni.

We didn’t have certain toiletries. The bed wasn’t very comfy. They turned off the water for a few hours during our stay. The location was nice and quiet, except for the daily street sweeper in the parking lot. The heated floors were divine. The cabin was cozy

I spent eight enjoyable nights, just me and my dog. The cabin had everything I needed. The pillows were great, I was comfortable! I was nearby to the grocery store gas station, you name it. It’s super close to Rocky Mountain national Park but since I had a dog, I decided to go into Roosevelt national Forest. It was absolutely beautiful with all the snow. I would highly recommend staying here and I planned to come back again this year!

A clean, comfortable small cabin halfway between Rocky Mtn National Park and Estes Park. If a small space is ok with you, this is your place to stay. We were delighted with the heated tile floors and a real coffee pot. If you plan to cook, expect the smoke detector to alert-- it's set on the wall above the range top. Management would do well to move it elsewhere.

Good location. Not on the river but close(across a very busy road). Well-kept rustic little cabin
