CABIN #6 LAUREL HAVEN is just off the beaten path and slightly more secluded due to the heavily wooded area that surrounds this particular cabin. Laurel Haven is named after the distinctive pink and white flower called Mountain Laurel. It is the most exquisite of all Native American shrubs and Cabin #6 is encompassed by its beauty. It bursts into full bloom in mid June with its subtle fragrance and soft, pastel yet vivid color as it contrasts with the darker colors of the forest. This stunning view continually attracts the attention of travelers and tourists. What a treat to be able open your eyes to such a gentle and delicate vision without even leaving your cabin making it truly a LAUREL HAVEN!

This cabin was absolutely perfect. We come from Richmond every couple of months to reconnect and unwind. This is our favorite so far. Will absolutely rebook. *I would like to see the deck door latch looked at though*

This was our second time at Lydia mountain cabins and it only gets better! The cabin is so cozy and in a remote spot we felt like we were in our own lil world. So grateful to have this in easy driving distance to be able to get away for a long weekend .. and just unplug

Over all the cabin was great. Enjoyed the privacy and yet a few minutes drive for dinning and shopping. Great location.

We really enjoyed our stay here! It was so quiet in the middle of the woods and we enjoyed just sitting on the deck. One thing, there were instructions or suggestions (e.g., “Make sure door is unlocked when going out to the deck”) on paper around the inside of the cabin, but they were very faded and should be replaced. Also, add a note about needing to close the dishwasher door “hard” to run it. We were not able to run the dishwasher because we didn’t shut the door hard enough but we didn’t want to break it either. ?

This is great for a get away. Cabin was clean and nice to sit on the front porch. The cabin is not directly on the road and has some privacy. I would stay here again.

Beautifully crafted cabin in a serene and secluded area. The cabin was clean with the exception of a few spider webs here and there and a couple spiders got trapped in the kitchen sink. Thankfully I’m not too scared of them and was able to set them free outside. Overall a great stay and I will definitely be coming back.

I have been wanting to stay at Lydia Mountain for some time. I was thrilled to finally be able to and it didn’t disappoint. The cabin was perfect for a couple. We enjoyed our stay so much we are coming back for Mother’s Day but staying at the lodge this time.

We very much enjoyed our cabin stay at Laurel Haven. It was tucked away beautifully in the trees; it contained all we needed; rocking chairs on the porch were perfect on the rainy day; the new restaurant managers were friendly and the food was great and we felt very welcomed. We will return and tell our friends about the place!
