Breathtaking views of the Mogollon rim from all decks and windows of this 2900 sq. ft. mountain home which was designed for comfort, family fun, or entertaining guests--all will surprise and delight you! With 800 sq. ft. of decks, 4 bedrooms, plenty of living space, your stay will be a special get-a-way. Located 200 feet above the East Verde River valley in secluded Whispering Pines community, you are still 12 miles from the center of Payson or Pine, so you enjoy peace and contentmentyet know that the amenities are not too far away.

The great room is marvelous for spreading out in front of the amazing (hand picked) stone fireplace. Views from the near floor-to-ceiling windows almost hypnotize you. A/C if needed.

Spaciousness extends to the master suite, open loft, topping the house with its own bath, dressing room and balcony/deck on the upper level. It is more than the master suite as we have added a bunkbed.

Mid levels include two more large bed rooms, both kings, a bath, complete kitchen, dining area and the great room furnished to lend itself to enjoying satellite HDTV, reading, games, and conversation areas. Not to mention three decks for viewing the beautiful outdoors, having some quiet solitude, or visiting with family and friends.

The lower levels include one bedroom, queen size and a bunk bed, another bath, and an oversized game room with a faux wood burning stove, ping pong table, TV, games, music, even a queen wall bed for extra sleepers.

The kitchen/dining area is complete with microwave, dishwasher, disposal, cookware, dishes, utensils, blender, mixer, coffee pot, toaster, etc. Also stocked with salt, pepper, and spices. There is a large table, good for family or holiday feast. Adjoining patio has table, chairs & BBQ for picnic style dining.

There are electric heaters under each bathroom vanity, and in the bed rooms, living room, and game room. However, the preferred heating method is to sit in front of the fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate.

Towels and extra linens are found in hall or lower level closet. There is a washer and dryer in the lower level.

If you need anything else, let us know when you leave, so we can provide it for your next visit! Gila Co. STR Permit No.2512-0003

Three generations under one roof, fourteen of us were comfortable and enjoyed our stay. The loft, patio, and big picture windows made it very enjoyable while we were at the cabin. We saw elk every day, even one calf nursing within 20 yards of cabin; also javelina 5 different days. Geode hunt with the grandkids was successful.Only used the grill once but that was nice to have. Thx for a great stay.

This listing is all about location, location, location! It was absolutely stunning. Elk strolling casually through the property and the howls of coyotes at sunset make you feel very much like you're in the wilderness, but with all the conveniences and safety of a beautiful, expansive cabin. There is plenty of room for a big family reunion. The porch/patios all have amazing views of the ridge. Be sure to take a moonlight sojourn out to the loft patio to enjoy some stargazing. My only comment is that the bunk bed mattresses were suited more for children than adults and could use some updating. But that wouldn't keep us from booking again. Overall, a stellar experience.

The property is ideal for our group. Location is perfect. The only thing that we kind of didnt like are the bed sheets, linens and towels. They dont smell clean and look not washed.

What amazing views in this cozy cabin! Such an wonderful accomodation for large groups. The host went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The property was well maintained and clean. Although our GPS took us straight to the property, families that joined, loved using the provided directions to find the place saying that the adventure began once they arrived to Payson, marking out milage, passing milestones, etc. It was a wonderful weekend.

Second time staying in this fabulous home. Lots of room for three families with kids of all ages. We love tending the fire and Conrad left us with plenty of wood. Breath taking views you can't get in other homes. The neighborhood store is a plus and the owner is a hoot!

Wonderful, cozy house with everything you need...and plenty of space for kids! The teens loved the basement, the huge kitchen and dining table were perfect for family meals and there were still quiet spaces and amazing views for great-auntie (me). So fun to get the city kids out into the trees!

Overall, the things that truly matter we great. Location- less than 2 hours from the Valley, beautiful views of the rim, great stars, and secluded enough to not feel like there were close neighbors. Plenty of space for together time and to spread out. All in all, we had a great time. 10 ppl ages 18 - 52. Cons and actionable feedback:Everything looks and feels like it needs some updating. True to pictures, so this was not a surprise. Their are stairs everywhere inside and out including the crazy stairs to the lower level. Most railings on the stairs and decks are very loose. I would not recommend this property for anyone with mobility challenges. There are 3 bathrooms, but the master has a 1900s tub and is very small and the lower level tub has very high walls so its hard to get in. The beds and pillows were nice, but the sheets in the lower level were stained and all the extras smelled musty. The murphy bed had used sheets in a ball in it. General cleanliness was lacking, grill was very dirty, as was the freezer. The game room was a huge selling point, but it went unused as everything was worn and broken and the kids couldn't get past the musty smell, especially my pregnant daughter in law.Kitchen was functional but no lids fit the pots, only 1 flimsy cutting board, knives were not sharp, only 1 pyrex dish and 1 large serving bowl. Hard with large groups, but we found solutions. Coffee pot is traditional . We had taken coffee pods, but had to go to town for
