Nice place, very charming. VRBO online directions not accurate.
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was a perfect location for us. We enjoyed the peace and quiet. The home had everything we needed. The hostess responded to any questions I had in a timely manner. I would definitely rent this property again!
Beautiful home and property overlooking Medora. Can’t wait to come back.
The description and pictures don't show how incredible this home and surrounding landscape truly are. I was absolutely in awe in the beauty of the location in the outskirts of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The home itself is very comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is wonderful and perfect for preparing family meals. The decor is perfect for the setting of the property and the grill and firepit were perfect to enhance our experience in such a breathtaking location. We will definitely be back and I suggest if you have the opportunity to visit TRNP, secure this property if you are fortunate enough if it is available.
What an awesome place to stay while visiting TDR National Park. You feel like you’re part of the experience, everything is very nice, and it’s super close to town. The Host was very accommodating. Highly recommend!
When you think about 5 star stays, you assume everything was perfect. When we arrived at this property, it had not been cleaned. I called the host/owner and she immediately apologized and came out to clean the house herself. She even offered to pay for us to go to dinner, but we were traveling with a small dog. She came back the next day to drop off some adult beverages and even refunded us some of our money. Things don't always go as planned, but this host went above and beyond our expectations and we ended up having a great stay! Thank you, Stephanie, for making things right! My only recommendation would be to update the pictures. The views are more amazing than we expected. If you are going to Medora, you have to book this house!
What a perfect location for enjoying Medora and a quick drive to the beautiful Bully Pulpit. The house was perfect for our all ages family. The only thing we would have wished for was more time and a longer stay to enjoy even more! Next time!
We were so amazed at how beautiful this property was. It was so private and the views were amazing. It was so well stocked and comfortable. We made wonderful memories! Thank you for letting us stay at this beautiful house!
Spent a great deal of time outdoors. Loved it!
could have been cleaner there is a mouse issue
Beautiful views and a most comfortable home.
Absolutely amazing property with breathtaking views of surrounding badlands. My mom, dog (Ted) and I stayed here for a visit to Theodore Roosevelt National Park. The home was full of beautiful architectural features and is clearly a passion project. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Truely incredible home in a great location.
The property was decorated to the 10’s with western and cabin decor. It wasn’t just inside but outside too with a the king of fire pits, table and chairs with legs made of horseshoes and old tractor seats, old bed headboard swings, wrap around deck, with the Badlands hills all around. There were mule deer in the yard one morning too. Somebody put a lot of effort into setting up this property and cabin to give a western experience. There is a pretty strong wood smokey smell in the cabin but then it is a big cabin with a wood burner in it. All said, I barely touched on the decor of this property, its all around outside and within the cabin. Did I mention the location is overlooking Medora but yet right in the Badland hills with amazing views!
Wonderful location on side of a ravine. Isolated feel, even though you're very near the town of Medora. Easy access to Theo Roosevelt NP, South Unit. The property has all kinds of wonderful features - fire pit, swings, etc. The cabin itself is very roomy and comfortable.
Unbelievable attention to the decor fitting for the theme of the area The only negatives were significant biting gnats outside (I’m evidently a magnet for them), and some of the dishes in the cupboard (bottom of the stacks) were pretty dirty (we just ran the washer and dealt with it). Neither detracted much from the experience or enjoyment of the location. Would highly recommend the location to anyone.
We needed a quiet getaway for our family. We had 3 of our boys with us (ages 14,13 and 8), and this property and home were perfect. The boys were so happy and content climbing the surrounding hills and playing horseshoes. We were only minutes away from our Medora activites, and we were thrilled with the awesome collection of DVDs for when it rained. The kitchen was clean and spacious, with updated/like new appliances, making it easy to cook and visit. The like new washer and dryer were handy, so that we could return home without a bunch of dirty laundry. We grilled one evening on the outdoor propane grill. This was an excellent experience, and we would recommend this property to anyone.
