We enjoyed the short 4 day stay in this cabin. Clean , equipped with everything you need to explore the North Dakota Badlands. Highly recommend this property. It is secluded enough to renew your spirit.
Excellent
Functional place and great location. Can’t beat the view among the badlands.
Cabin was great.... We had a great time and the location was perfect.. Everything was great . Only little complaint we had was getting the info to us on how to check in like the code to the door on the cabin... We had to call vrbo 1 hour before check in to get the access code.. It all worked out and our stay was great...
Great location and very clean but we didn’t expect to have campers right outside our windows. Neighbors were friendly but was uncomfortable when our toddler and 7 month old played and made noises. Felt like we had to keep the kids quiet. Overall, nice place.
Nice to be able to come to and fro from all the exciting Medora fun. Cabin was spacious compared to a hotel room. Close to hiking. Fun.
Very nice
We had a fabulous time in the hunter cabin. So close to the park..the wildlife was spectacular.. Great place..highly recommend
Nice, clean cabin with great views, quiet area.
We were looking forward to our visit in North Dakota. The place was for the most part great. Just a couple of complaints. First, there's no TV. We were gone most of the time but it would have been nice to have a TV in the evenings. Second the grill didn't work. There was a hose missing so we couldn't grill. Other than that it was a great stay and a great location to the park and the city of Medora.
Place was nice, the only issue was how tight they pack the RV campers in next to the mobile home rentals. Less then 10 ft in between, so you feel like you have no privacy.
I've stayed at the Boots Cabins 4 times over the years. Three visits have been fantastic. This past visit was so much different than my other visits. There were campers squeezed in wherever they could be. We literally had a 5th wheel camper 4 feet from our bedroom window. It was unsettling. I fear that this may be the new norm as campers are just showing up everywhere. It's a shame because these little cabins are in such a pretty environment.
The cabin was exactly as advertised. We were pleased with the cabin overall. We have stayed at many places through the years and have never had the request to have laundry done before leaving. We were leaving at 6 a.m. so it was a bit of a bother. However, we would definitely stay there again!!
This property had all the things you need for a stay in Medora. The only negative is having RVs outside the windows( like parked next to property) but I read that prior in reviews so not unexpected.
The cabin is close to town and has everything you need. We enjoyed our stay and loved Medora.
Very nice place.. with agreat view...
First, the good: This was a very comfortable, pleasant place to stay a few days while we explored the Badlands. The porch with views out into the buttes was great. I loved being able to bring my dog, which is most of why I rented this particular cabin. There was plenty of space, comfortable beds, all the basic kitchen gear, and overall I'd recommend the property. Things you should know that aren't necessarily clear from the listing: 1) The cabins aren't clearly marked and it wasn't easy to figure out which one was ours. We had one direction that said the top of the hill, and another that said the bottom. 2) You will have RV neighbors VERY CLOSE. We were surprised when an RV pulled in about a foot from the cabin, right outside my bedroom window. A little awkward, especially since the blinds don't close fully and there aren't curtains. 3) No dogs on the beds or furniture. This makes sense, I just wish I knew this rule before I got there, as I would have brought other things for my dog who is used to sleeping on my bed. 4) The listing tells you that you'll have to start the laundry, but the sign inside the cabin requires more extensive cleanup than this. Prepare to take out garbage, wash and put away dishes, etc. This is a bit of a pet peeve for me as I am paying a cleaning fee on top of the fee to stay there, and doing a bunch of cleaning while I'm trying to pack up and check out is annoying.
The area is beautiful! As a short term rental owner myself I was very unimpressed with the way it was run. I felt like we were scolded right when we walked in and read the notes about all of the fines we would get if we basically didn’t clean the place for them. We had to leave early our last day so I had to get up at 4:30 am just to ensure I did the laundry. I’ve never stayed at VRBO that requires guests to do their own which is very tacky in my opinion not to mention how can you be sure stuff is actually clean? Then the last night we had someone camping right outside of our bedroom window, woke us up shining a flashlight right at the electrical box outside our window. Even with the blinds closed his bright light would shine through. I didn’t mind the campers mixed with the cabins but why would you put them right next to bedroom windows? I would not stay here again.
Cozy place. Views of the badlands from porch. Ideal base for exploring, hiking. Kitchen is well stocked. Plan groceries in advance, nearest large grocery is in Dickinson. Easy check in. Laundry on check out takes some planning if you have used all the beds, as dried could be larger to decrease times.
