Stayed Mar 1, 2025From the start, communication with the host was bad. They never returned my calls or picked up the phone. Upon arrival, the cabin didn’t look as nice in the pictures. Other than some updates in the bathroom and decor, it’s very outdated (baseboard heating, back door had a slit in it where it’s splintered, old appliances, ect…) The hot tub was extremely murky looking and very dirty with lots of dirt, hair, and styrofoam from the busted cover floating in it. I based my stay on having a hot tub and working fireplace. The host didn’t even text me back till after 5. Maintenance came to put a tablet in the hot tub, but hours later it still did not clear up. I didn’t even get to use the hot tub. Then we noticed the fireplace didn’t work. Once again, maintenance had to come out around 7:30 to try to fix that. He rewired things and it worked while he was there. We turned it off to go to dinner. When we came back, I turned it on. It lit for 30 seconds and went out again. I once again had texted the host multiple times with my disappointment and asking for a refund or a different place to stay. They did not respond. I’m still extremely frustrated and disappointed with this experience. I’ve never stayed anywhere with such a lack of communication or lack of solution. This cabin was not worth over 300 something a night after fees. I will be contacting Vrbo directly to fight for my refund and inform them of the situation since the hosts have refused to get back to me.

Stayed Jan 29, 2025The property was exactly where we wanted to be, away from town and surrounded by trees and a creek. Just a quiet time away from the busy days we are used to. Had some issues lighting the gas logs, but our host helped us out. Did not use the hot tub bc it needs some chemical treatment.

Stayed Jan 19, 2025Visiting Blowing Rock in January to enjoy some snow. This cabin was close to Grandfather Mountain and Blowing Rock. We enjoyed a snowy walk around nearby, frozen Bass Lake. The cabin was chilly when we arrived, and the radiant floor heaters took a while to warm up the space. Unfortunately we couldn't get the gas fireplace on. The owner will be taking care of that after our visit. The cabin was easy to access, a good size for my partner and I and our little dog. I would recommwnd this location.

Stayed Jan 12, 2025My fiancé and I came here for a romantic getaway. Upon arriving there were a couple of disconcerting things we found with this property. The exterior of the property was adorable, cozy, and quiet. The interior was a little outdated and not very clean. Also, there were some safety concerns regarding the back door being hard to close and it didn't lock. Unfortunately we decided to stay somewhere else, but the host, Dylan, was extremely understanding. He gave us a full refund, and assured us that those problems would be addressed and taken care of. We will definitely be giving these cabins another chance because we understand what it's like to own a small business and we love to support small businesses. And we really wanted that adorable cabin to work for us. Thanks, Dylan, for caring!

Stayed Oct 10, 2024I keep getting these review submissions so I will finally respond. I didn’t go on this trip because the hurricane went through Western North Carolina. Although the cabin had Wi Fi and electricity according to the host the roads were not safe to travel. Nor was there a guarantee that I would be able to make it, because of the roads and highways.Only 1/2 of the cost was refunded.

Stayed Aug 4, 2024We had a very pleasant stay at this cabin. The location was perfect for us. Very close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Moses Cone Memorial Park. We spent most of our time outside sitting by the creek or on the front porch. Beautiful and peaceful setting.

Stayed Jul 30, 2024My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary here, and it was the perfect place for a little getaway place nestled in the woods! The location was great, easy access to Blowing Rock and Boone, and all the fun attractions locally to go and see within minutes. We had a pleasant time, the cabin is very cozy and was perfect for a couple to enjoy together! It was very easy to access everything and communication with the renters was great. Thank you for a fun, enjoyable and peaceful getaway for our anniversary!

Stayed Aug 1, 2024It was great for us, an older couple with a small dog. We did not hear anything from property manager regarding our checking out, and could not find the outdoor trash can. We just took our trash home and discarded.??? Our only complaint was the lack of lighting in the family room for those of us who like to read. Thanks for letting us stay in the Azalea Cottage for our trip to Blowing Rock and Grandfather Mountain.

Stayed Jun 30, 2024Our family enjoyed our stay in Cabin 1. There are 2 cabins that share the fire pit area. We enjoyed making s’mores with the river flowing in the background. The hot tub was also utilized! This cabin is centrally located to Blowing Rock, Blue Ridge Parkway, and Boone. Many trails nearby! Everything very clean, neat, and operating appropriately. We would recommend for anyone exploring the area!

Stayed Jun 17, 2024Everything just as pictured. There’s a hot tub out back and a fire pit out front right next to a running creek! There is cookware and dishware in the kitchen. Hot tub was a good temperature and all the water inside is plenty hot too. Bedding and towels perfectly clean. Literally 5 min from blowing rock and like 10 min to Boone Only recommendation I have would be to maybe cover the firewood outside with something to keep it dry for when it rains
