Stayed Sep 15, 2025Overall, the property checked all the boxes with exception of one thing, internet connectivity. The bandwidth was very limited with speeds of /- 3 mbps. Streaming was not available and cell service was weak for Verizon. Can’t speak for the other carriers. if someone was wanting to work remotely, best to bring your WI-FI connectivity like Starlink. I gave the property a 5 star rating only because it wouldn’t be right to score as a 4 overall simply because of the bandwidth.

Stayed Jul 9, 2023Birch lodge was great for multiple families to stay together and still have plenty of room. The house was clean and definitely as advertised. Lots of local wildlife outside. Only drawback is that it takes about an hour to get to Keystone or Rapids City. We had activities in both directions- Devils tower, Spearfish canyon and then 1880 train and ATVs. So overall it worked well.

Stayed Jun 22, 2023Great home, great location. very clean. Family had a great time. Only 1 negative. One night during a thunderstorm we had water coming into one room in basement. Nothing major but required some cleanup. Husband and daughter went outside during heavy rain and discovered downspounts were plugged. Unplugged downspounts and fixed problem. Would still rent home again. Thank you
