This cabin, TRULY, lived up to it's name. My husband and I have stayed in a few, but this one tops them all! We were greeted by the local deer population as we drove up the driveway. The A/C and fans were on for our arrival as we stepped into a clean and spacious cabin. We LOVED sitting on the back porch and balcony, watching the wildlife come in and enjoying brief rain showers. Instructions from the owners were easy to understand - easy to follow, and everything we could have possibly needed was provided. We are looking forward to future stays at this beautiful cabin.

Loved the cabin! Just as pictured and described. Very clean and well stocked with everything in kitchen and bathroom. The king bed was very comfy. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the sunsets and the back patio for the views and peacefulness. Our husky loved the fenced in back yard and watching for wildlife. We took a couple of days to drive and view some of the scenic lookout spots in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, which is only about 7 or 8 miles from the cabin. We also visited Ouray, a beautiful 45 min drive, and Telluride, a gorgeous 1.5 hour drive. We highly recommend this cabin and we would definitely stay here again if back in this area.

Never stayed on VBRO, before but it is a beautiful experience to start. It’s a wonderful experience for a family bonding place where it’s a serene place to catch up on our busy days stories.

We loved our stay at this beautiful cabin in Montrose. The setting was idyllic - loved having the cows grazing in the backyard pasture. And the house was immaculate. Our visit to the nearby Black Canyon of the Gunnison was spectacular as well. No complaints and definitely recommend!

We visited 2 of the Colorado national parks when staying here. Only regret is that we didn’t stay longer.

The cabin was stunning. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is located in a private serene setting. It was clean, comfortable, and stocked with amenities. Us adults enjoyed the sunset from the front porch and stargazing around the firepit in the backyard. The kids enjoyed the upstairs loft/bedroom area and the cows in the backyard. The property is very close to Black Canyon of the Gunnison and makes for a perfect accommodation while visiting the National Park. I also was thankful for the owner's thorough communication prior to the trip.

This cabin is approximately 15 miles from Montrose. It is a 30 minute drive from the cabin to Montrose each way. It is on 4 mile long dirt road. Every day we were visited by cows, Jack rabbits, elk, turkeys, and even a coyote. The cabin is adorable and very cozy. The air conditioning unit that they have downstairs in the sitting room really only cools that room and the kitchen. The bedroom downstairs stayed too warm for my liking so I did open the window overnight, which made me uneasy with bears and all the wildlife around. The loft upstairs was also too warm, the air conditioning unit does not cool that area either. I would recommend a couple of smaller mobile cooling units for those two areas. Unfortunately, the county was spraying the dirt road with Mag chloride to keep the dust down which made our vehicle disgustingly muddy during our entire stay, that was a big downfall but that is not the property owners fault. They did respond right away and let us know there was a hose outside that we were welcome to use and they would also bring over a small power washer if we wanted, which I thought was very accommodating. There isn’t a TV in the main sitting area which certainly would have been nice had their been but I brought my laptop, so I just streamed what I wanted to watch on it. The cookware is in desperate need of being replaced. I absolutely love that it’s dog friendly, and they had two bowls of water ready for the dogs when we arrived, which was thoughtful!

This cabin (really a house) was really lovely. It is well-designed, clean, comfortable, and extremely well-stocked with anything you might need. We were so impressed by the thoughtfulness of the owners in making sure that every detail was considered. We stayed for a week, mostly using it as a base for remote work. The internet works great! We especially loved the fenced-in backyard and patio, which backed up to a cow pasture. This was perfect for our dog, and was great for us to grill, eat, and work outside (at least until the weather got too hot). The mountains in the distance are very scenic. The property is very private—a few miles down a ranch road, just off the road leading to Black Canyon. We never saw another person. It takes about 20-25 mins to drive into Montrose, which we did a couple of times. We recommend Camp Robber restaurant for great salads, and the Stone House Grill was also really good. But we mostly cooked in the cabin, which had a super well-stocked kitchen with all the equipment and spices/staples you might need. We spent a terrific day driving along the South Rim of Black Canyon National Park and stopping at all the overlooks. We also went back one evening to see sunset at Sunset Point—there is also great lighting on the canyon at many of the overlooks in the hour or so before sunset. Definitely also see the Museum of the American West—it was really good! Overall, it was a terrific, relaxing week that met our needs and we already miss this place!

This place was absolutely beautiful and well maintained. You can tell the owner care very much about the property and we feel lucky they shared there amazing place with our family. There was plenty of room in the driveway for truck and trailer pulling jeep. I hope we have an opportunity to visit again. Thanks for being great hosts!
