Beautiful Echo Trail Cabin Near the Boundary Waters

Wonderful log house for a family visit to the Echo trail. Could use another couch or 2 in the kitchen fireplace area and kitchen sitting area. Water pressure is on the low side. Overall, we would stay there again.

Great location for us. Great for a large group.

Check in was great.Kitchen had all basics and an icemaker in ref.Wi-fi worked great.Driveway has hairpin turn but manageable.We used the 2 canoes and kayaks daily.

Pros: Location near Ely and BWCA, large house, well equipped with towels, etc...Kayaks and canoes provided.Cons: Water pressure an issue all week. We had to replace a filter ourselves with owner on the phone. He said he was too far away to do it and getting a plumber would take a month. Plumbing needs overall. Had to deal with the filter later in the week. Owner needs to have a handyman near if he is not in town to address issues. Guest should not have to fix things.Mice: Saw several. While it is not unexpected to see mice in country home the exterminator needs to be called to resolve the issue. Had to store all our food in fridge or coolers.Windows: No blinds on large upstairs main bedroom windows. Knew this after we rented. Would help if owner could get some blinds installed.Lake: Nice lake but can't swim off or near dock due to vegetation in the water. Other: One bedroom only had one light working. We tried to replace bulbs but they didn't work. House has no AC. We knew that but it did get very humid when the temperature increased.

We spent a nice week outside of Ely on Everett Lake. 2 canoes, kayaks and 2 paddle boards all with paddles and vests were part of the package. Our grandkids saw deer, a beaver and a turtle - they were busy outdoors. We loved the sauna and big table we sat around at meals together.

Spent a quick weekend snowmobiling. Very well located for this (trail next to property but low traffic). Had some issues with heat and water that were manageable and being addressed by the owner who made things right.

Very nice property that accepts pets. Well located for outdoor pursuits year-round. Outside of Ely but still easily reachable.

Fantastic location. Isolated, but within minutes from town. Fully furnished and lots of extras. Would stay again!

Rhis beautiful cabin was just perfect for our long family weekend and an event at a nearby Y camp!

Very nice house with an up to date kitchen. Definitely enjoyed the induction stove as we have in our own home. Plenty of paddling toys. We enjoyed beautiful lake paddle with swans and mergansers. Also enjoyed many beautiful nearby hiking opportunities. Thank you for the booklet of information about local hikes. As huge tennis fans we also enjoyed live tennis on Cable TV!!! What an unexpected treat. Thank you.

Great place to take day trips to the Boundary Waters! We had a blast.

Magical find! Whole and pups stayed in this adorable cabin in the beautiful north woods! Kayaks, canoes, games, trails, close to Ely and a public swimming hole as well as Bear Head Lake State Park. Wolf Center, Bear Center and more! Stars at night are stunning, lake is quiet & beautiful, and cabin has everything you need!

This was the second time our family spent a week at this property. It’s spacious, clean, has everything you’d need for a week, and is central to all the great places to explore around the Boundary Waters, whether hiking or paddling. Thanks for a wonderful and memorable week!

Pet friendly cabin has lots of space and is well equiped. The kitchen had everthing we needed to prepare meals. The large dining area was great for meals together and playing games. It easily slept 8 adults. The location is convenient to Ely. Wifi wasnt working but Sean was quick to respond.
