In Winter: cross country ski and snowshoe rentals from outfitters in town, dog sled tour operators in the area.

Stayed May 30, 2023This was perfect for our vacation situation this year. Husband and friends went on a 7 day Boundary Waters canoe/backpacking trip. My niece and I stayed in the cabin. We were never afraid or uncomfortable being there alone. The mosquitoes were out in full force which hindered our outdoor time but we were warned ahead of time about the State Bird. Overall, a very nice experience!
