What a cozy, quiet cabin! Well stocked and WONDERFUL hottub

Our eight-year-old grandsons loved the upper loft. It was great for them!

It was a really nice stay for the 2 nights we were here! Service is spotty but that’s okay as it’s expected for the area but would suggest having an offline gps or a map. Having no service wasn’t a problem there was plenty to do without, It’s peaceful and your closest neighbor is across the street and down the road a little bit. There’s a few of local grocery stores/ food places near by, and Walmart is about 30 minutes away. The cabin was cozy and it was nice to be able to change the room temperature with the heating and cooling! There was also an emergency kit in the closet, we didn’t need to use it but it’s nice to see!

The cabin was perfect. Hot tub was great after a day of hiking. We took our Chihuahuas and it was so nice to be able to have them with us. Everything you need for a comfortable, quiet stay. I would definitely go back.

The cabin was well maintained & stocked with toiletries and dishes. We also enjoyed that it was pet friendly and loved the hot tub! With that said…we would like to point out that the surrounding area is very scary and run down! There is no cell service or WiFi! You had to drive about 15 mins into “town” to find a gas station where you could get cell service. (We were unaware of this until we got the directions the day before our trip on how to access the property) thank god there was a landline in the cabin and that made us a little less uneasy in case of an emergency! The closest “grocery store” was a dollar general about 25 mins out. The one night where we had a frost advisory we went without heat because there was no mode button on the unit to turn it from ac to heat. We finally figured that out after freezing all night. This is not necessarily the owners fault (user error and we most likely could have called him for help) we would just say this listing is very vague and doesn’t mention any of this, we feel this place wasn’t worth the amount charged!

Very clean and private cabin in the woods of Hicking Hills. The host has a beautiful set up with a fire ring, hot tub, and a short walkong path behind the house. This cabin is pet friendly and our dogs loved every minute! There were some ants and wasps on the property. They left us alone but should probably have a spray. Great trip, great stay- would definately return. No wifi was the best way to disconnect from everything!!

Cabin was so well thought out! We needed nothing. Married couple just a short getaway from work and kids. So worth the money spent we will rent and revisit again in the near future. Thank you for the great stay

We loved our stay at the bear cabin! The house was stocked with everything we would need and very clean. Sitting in the hot tub, surrounded by trees, was so relaxing. There’s even a little creek flowing nearby, which was a nice surprise and added to the tranquil ambiance. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The pictures did not do this little cozy cabin justice. We had no cell service, but that was OK. It was a perfect weekend getaway with intimate moments with my family. We will definitely do the Hocking Hills experience again.

The host was very nice. The place was too isolated. Also we couldn’t get cell phone service. A friend had stayed in Hocking Hills and he wasn’t far from restaurants or civilization. I didn’t get the full details from him.

It is a lovely cabin in a great location. My wife and I enjoyed the nice hot tub together. The only downside is that there is NO cell service, NO internet, NO television. If they made that point in the listing, I missed it. So, basically there is absolutely nothing to do but sit and stare at each other. For a young couple with love on their minds it might be a wonderful setting, but for two old farts in their 60’s and 70’s like us, it was less than ideal. But I want to stress that this was probably brought up in the listing, and it was my fault that I missed it. Other than that, it was a great visit, and the hosts are very nice.

Nicely isolated property in a lovely, woodsy setting. Not having cell service or WiFi allows one to really check out and be in the moment.

Nice getaway spot. Short drive to the caves,only 30mins to town for shopping and groceries. No cellphone or wifi, excellent place to disconnect and relax.

Its a long way to drive anywhere, also zero internet or signal.

Came for a weekend away with our little family. The cabin was beautiful, clean and just perfect for me, my husband and our pups. The hot tub was amazing to end our evenings in. We'd definitely would stay again at Bear Cabin!

We stayed here due to its forested/peaceful location; it's proximity to the Hocking State Park attractions; and it's convenient amenities. The cabin provided all of those and more. The hot tub was a great way to end a day of hiking; our kids (12 and 10 yrs old) loved the loft; and the solitude was the perfect way to unwind for a couple days.

It was a great stay, but no wifi or any type of phone reception what so ever. Which made it difficult looking up local shops and things to do. Cabin itself was amazing!!!

The cabin overall was a pleasant place to stay for two. Talk about what they watch, but I’d like to have TV in everythingthe evening when I was just sitting around.

My family really enjoyed the seclusion and the hot tub

This is our 2nd time staying at Bear Cabin. We love the land that it is situated on. We also love the no wifi and cell phone access. My only recommendation is to look up trails ahead of time and have a plan. We would drive to the local gas station down the road to load our gps.

My fiancé and both liked our stay here other than the no WiFi or cell phone service but we knew that before staying but other than that it was a great weekend!

The cabin was as described and as all the other reviews stated the hot tub was fantastic. It is in a quiet location that is a short drive from the state park hiking spots. Will stay again!

Nice and cozy. The neighbors are closer than anticipated and my first day there were some young kids playing pretty loudly, but it wasn’t unbearable.

It was a great state at the cabin it was a beautiful area and the way it was designed my family truly enjoyed it.

Quiet and peaceful

Bear Cabin was just as described. It was a great stay for our family of 4. Our 8 and 18 year olds enjoyed the upper loft. Beds were comfy and clean. We spent most of the day out exploring. O WiFi was a little rough but we survived. Would definitely come back again.

It is a small but perfectly appointed home with everything we could have wished for. We had perfect privacy. We enjoyed the hot tub immensely. It was very close to the activities we wanted. I would definitely come back!!

The cabin was perfect. A little close to the road for my taste but the road was not busy. Nice that cell phones dont work at all on the property.

This place is fantastic honestly. Everything worked, bed was comfy, it was wonderful.

We decided on a last minute weekend getaway to explore Hocking Hills and needed a cabin that was pet friendly for our 14 year old dog to go with us. The cabin is absolutely as described; extremely clean and well maintained, bed is very comfortable, amazing hot tub, adorably decorated, nice walking trail and the setting is so peaceful and relaxing. I was concerned about no cell service or internet but there is a landline in case of emergency. We highly recommend and will be back! Thank you are sharing your little cabin in the woods!

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of this cabin so much! There is no wi-fi or cell service and it was wonderful! We very much enjoyed the hot tub, fire pit and the front porch swing. We even hiked up to the top of the hill and found a huge patch of bamboo… who would have thought?! There are good games and a nice selection of movies to choose from as well! Next time we may bring our kids! Thank you!

It was sooo much fun. We loved the cabin. Everything was perfect and beautiful. The bed was very comfy and clean and we really appreciated the firewood left by the owner. Definitely have to go in the hot tub after long hikes at Hawking Hills to relax. 10/10 would definitely come here again.
