Spacious enough for a family to have their own spots without being disconnected. Game room was a nice touch as was outside patio.
Super
We stayed for our annual girls trip. It was great for each of us to have our own room and big beds. The house had plenty of space to spread out. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans as well as leftover spices and stuff. The drive into Shenandoah state park wasn’t too long and Luray caverns was amazing! Would definitely recommend. Communication with host was quick and easy.
Our rental house was roomy and conveniently located for our vacation needs. Would love to stay again
Nice house and yard. Long drive (45) into Shenandoah National Park. Not told in advance than dryer was broken. Owner had to bring Drano for one sink, no hair dryer in house. Well stocked kitchen.
The house was nice and listed accurately. The yard space was perfect! Good privacy and a great yard to play in after the days activities.
We stayed Sunday-Friday and the property was very nice and secluded. The house is beautiful and the property is mostly surrounded by trees . The kitchen offers a coffee bar with a combo kerig coffee pot or pods. Nice to sit on the patio drinking your morning coffee. It was in the 90s during our stay so wasn’t able to enjoy the outdoors as much as we would have liked to but the AC worked great. There are not many restaurants locally so you need to plan some for dining. Hawksbill Diner is close but only open 6am - 2pm.. The waitress there is very friendly! If you want to try something different, the 211 Escape Room was a lot of fun. Small place but very exciting when you are playing. I have only positive things to say about the property but just a couple things to note. Check in is 4pm unless arranged prior to arrival. There are 2 king beds and 2 queens.. One queen bedroom does have a daybed. Luckily we brought sheets because 1 king bedroom off the kitchen did not have sheets. It is the most comfortable bed! Very soft. The king bed in the master is firm. We slept fine but prefer a softer mattress but not everyone does. We did not use the queen bedrooms. The game room in the garage is nice but not air conditioned. We were able to use it late at nite once the temp cooled down but still humid. They have a fire pit in the back yard with tree bench seats (no chairs). We bought cheap table clothes to cover the bench seats. Worked out nice since it rained earlier that day. We ventured out during most days to Luray. The Caverns are amazing and Skyline Drive offers amazing views of the mountains. We had a great stay and thank the owners for opening up their wonderful property to share with others. Would be even more beautiful in the fall when the leaves change.
The property is AMAZING. I would definitely go again. It’s beautiful, clean, and better than expected. My only gripe...we left a charger at the house. The management company charged $20 plus the cost of shipping to return it. Obviously I’m fine paying shipping and packaging...but $20 just to pick it up? That’s a bit much in my opinion . Otherwise we were VERY happy.
This was one of the best vacation rentals I've ever been to. My friends and I had a wonderful time and we will definitely be back.
This property looked nice enough in the listing but was incredible in person. New pictures need to be taken ASAP. The house and surrounding grounds are beautiful and well appointed. My family and I enjoyed our stay and will be back. My only criticism: Don’t charge me a cleaning fee, and then threaten an additional cleaning fee if we don’t strip all the beds, place all linens in the laundry room and sweep and vacuum the house. What was the initial cleaning fee for?
Quiet, secluded stone cottage located near a stream with views of the mountains. Comfortable house, plenty of room for family, and lots of yard space to play outside.
