Raystown Lake is a popular waterway in south central Pennsylvania. The 29 mile long lake and surrounding area are owned in large part by the federal government with several state-owned parks and forests close by. It is a wonderful area to spend a family vacation with great hiking, hunting, boating, swimming, fishing, and bird watching. Other popular attractions include caverns, railroading, horse-back riding, lake cruises, boat rentals just to mention a few. For golfers, Huntingdon Country Club offers a public golf course about 4 miles north of us. Volunteers have recently created the Allegrippis Trail which is popular with biking enthusiasts. Fishing tournaments frequent the area and Barbecue at the Beach is held in September. During your stay, you may be blessed to see a bear swimming across the lake or a bald eagle returning to its nest.
The cabin is also only 10 minutes drive from Juniata College in Huntingdon, PA and about 45 minutes drive to Penn State University main campus in State College, PA
Loved the area, and the cabin was in good shape. The only thing we wished was for a light in the bathroom over the mirror.
This cabin was quiet and comfortable… Just what we needed!
Liked the location. Somewhat secluded, but close enough to anything you needed!
This is a great small cabin with a fire pit and all you need to get away.
Good ,driveway is a little rough but able to drive it okay it was very quiet and peaceful would use it again
Cabin was clean and comfortable for our needs.
This cabin was so nice and in such a quiet location! Perfect for a weekend getaway!
Its a very nice place to stay! Owner was verty nice and helpful!
We had a very nice time exploring the area. The cabin was comfy for the most part. We did have a lot of stink bugs inside though and the queen bed was not good for my back. We really enjoyed sitting at the picnic table with our cup of coffee and listening to the birds. I liked that the other cabins were not too close.
Nice little cabin. Very clean, nice fire pit and grill, 2 picnic tables. Well stocked. Simple cabin for a quiet weekend away. We would definitely return. Liked that we could bring our two dogs and not worry about them.
Love the privacy. Great service by Linda. We already booked another visit.
