3 acre Lake, Farm Animals Petting Zoo, Horses and Horseback Riding, Room to roam

This house was beautiful! The log cabin feel was gorgeous. The lake was serene and the surrounding nature was relaxing. The kitchen and pantry had every cooking gadget you could need. There is a sweet orange and white cat that hangs around the house, and our family really enjoyed his cuddles, purrs and desire for affection! The check in and check out processes were smooth, communication with the owner and the caretaker were both prompt and always helpful.A couple things to consider if renting this property: 1. The water was VERY irony well water. We purchased at least 2 dozen gallons of water from the grocery store to drink, cook and make coffee with. 2. Our family got LOTS of bug bites (mainly spider and mosquito bites). We did have bug spray, but it only mildly helped.Again, the house and property were very nice and we give it a wonderful rate. There were just a couple of things that would have been nice to have been notified about ahead of time.

Natural Valley Ranch Cabin is amazing. Chuck and Marie are wonderful hosts. We love staying here.

Pictures made property look amazing and clean but real life was absolutely not true to pictures. Ruined our family vacation. The property driving up to the cabin was very unkept and rough looking. Advertised a petting zoo and it was a pen with cages and mud. Cabin and decks were VERY unclean. Outside tables chairs were unusable due to dirt all over tables, bird poop and animal feces all over chairs and tables. They had not been cleaned in quite some time. Interior not very clean and all fixtures were dated and in disrepair. Kitchen drawer, counters, tables, cabinets and appliances were very dirty. Many interior and exterior lights didnt work. Some plugins were loose and fell off wall. Property advertised free WIFI yet we never could connect to it on phones or for the TVs. Contacted property manager several times with no response to talk about dirtiness and WIFI issue. Finally got a call answered after many attempts and they never attempted to correct the situation. Bedding and towels not very clean smelling. Cloth chairs had stains and looked very unclean. Pantry and closets were messy and not clean. Potential to be beautiful property but it ruined family vacation. So disappointed that our family left a day early because so upset over situation with property and lack of care from property manager.

My whole group was very disappointed that we couldn't spend more time at the cabin because it was quite lovely. The kitchen and dining area are pretty fantastic. We all wish we had been there for pleasure versus work because we'd have loved to have enjoyed the massive porch more. The orange and white cat was both a surprise and a delight to everyone. We would absolutely stay here again if our conference happens to be in the same area.

It was great. Only problem was finding the light switchs and thermostat. It was a great family get together.

We loved our stay. The home was comfortable and spacious, and the owners were welcoming and helpful. We especially enjoyed visiting with the property’s resident animals.

The toilet in the main powder room was leaking onto the floor. The downstairs smelled of septic. The bedroom linens were thin covers. There had been a cat inside and my son in laws are allergic. No soap in showers. No coffee except 3pods two decaf. Arriving late I’m so relieved we brought our water with us. But we had no idea of what coffee maker they would have. I sent the owner some of this info and my cell so he could text. I had no reply. Someone did come while we were away at the Celebration of Life and fixed the toilet. The doors did not lock.

Chuck is very welcoming and his response to questions is fast. Property was spotless and decorated so sweetly for Christmas. This is our third year staying at this house and we love it!

Our large multi-generational family loves the spaciousness and homeyness.

Had a lovely Thanksgiving with our large fam here. Kids enjoyed fishing, playing pool and feeding some of the animals in the petting zoo. Adults loved the large kitchen and comfortable seating. Great time!

The host was good at keeping me updated after booking the house. Except for losing water pressure our first evening, the home was very nice.

We returned yet again to enjoy The Cabin at Natural Valley Ranch. Our 5th time to rent there. A HS girls getaway! Great hosts who always welcome us to make ourselves at home.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location of the cabin was great as we had a pond, forest, outdoor space as well as being close to the petting zoo and running/walking trails. I would say fishing and having a fire every night were the top highlights. The house was spacious for our family of 16. The only downside was the rooms on the main and second floor, the walls do not go all the way to the ceiling. Thus, any noise that occurred on the main floor would carry to those spaces and make sleep difficult for individuals staying in those rooms. We adjusted when we watched tv or the noise levels in the mornings to accommodate this.

Amazing stay and great host family. Was here for my wedding, and 10/10 stay. I will recommend to everyone. There was even enough room for my aunt/uncle and cousins to stay when their host unexpectedly canceled on them 30 minutes prior to check in while traveling from Michigan. Huge space and beautiful.

The cabin was loaded with everything you needed. Rooms were spacious and clean. The master bathroom was luxurious. The other bathrooms were clean and stocked also. The two down on the lower level were yellowed which I thought may have been from well water. The cabin was amazing with the lake, petting zoo, and the availability of horseback riding. My family was very impressed and requested we rent it every yearThe host was great at responding with updates and answering questions.

I am wheelchair bound and it was easy to navigate both inside and out. Secluded, but close to anything we needed. Television was a bit of a challenge to figure out, but we got it. We enjoyed a day at the Indianapolis Zoo since it was a short drive

Absolutely wonderful stay, beautiful cabin and venue for my wedding. Host was so great, checked in several times throughout wedding set up and after to make sure we had everything we needed and had great communication. From check in to check out everything was amazing!

We absolutely loved the property!! Great views and venue for a smaller wedding. Everything was very smooth, however communication between the hosts and guests could be better and making sure there is no tours during a wedding would be very crucial to future guests stay as it made the morning of a little delayed.

Great size and nice amenities

Such a beautiful property that had everything we needed - wonderful cabin space open concept so we could all eat together and cook meals together, great pond that provided fun adventures to fish, swim, and canoe, a big yard for lots of activities and games, and an awesome pavilion with a fireplace for evening fun and lots of laughter. Definitely will recommend to others. Host was fabulous at communicating and the cleaning crew did an awesome job! Thank you for helping our family enjoy an annual tradition of fun together!

Perfect for our annual large family get away. grandma and grandpa loved the serenity, the middle schoolers ‘dug the vibe’ and the little ones enjoyed the open space to play and make a LOT of noise. Each kid caught at least one fish and we even got to enjoy the trails/horses. Enough space to all be together but not be on top of each other.

First time staying here. We had a wonderful visit. The cabin & the property worked out great for our family. Its a beautiful place and property. It's perfect for all ages(our family ranges from 1-64).We had wonderful time horse back riding, and the little kids had an arena ride. The staff and owner was so helpful and friendly. The lake worked out great for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. There was 17 of us, and there was plenty of room for everyone. The owner was great to work with. So friendly and accommodating. We had an amazing family vacation and would definitely come back. Thank you

We had a wonderful time at the property. Our grandchildren loved swimming and running around. House was big and allowed our family group our own spaces. Owner was very responsive when we had questions or messaged. Allowed us to check in a little early. Gave us a heads up when lake was being treated and let us know still ok to swim and fish. Staff at stable/petting zoo area super friendly & helpful. We did encounter a problem with a pest on our last day but owner was very concerned and wanted to know as much info as possible to remediate the problem. They were on it and taking care of it. We would definitely return.

Our family really enjoyed feeling like we were out in the country on our own yet being close to anything we would need. The owner was responsive and pleasant. The property was clean and very useful. It was very open, but also had everything we needed. We especially loved that the children could run around outdoors without constant supervision.

Beautiful facility and well supplied.

The Cabin at Natural Valley Ranch could be an extraordinary facility. There are few places that one can house 15 people all in one place for a family reunion. So – the facility itself more than lived up to our expectations. However, there were a few issues that we wished we didn’t have to deal with: 1.We’ve stayed in a any number of VRBO venues, and there has always been an instruction booklet from the owners. Not so in this case, so we were left somewhat in the dark about any number of items. 2.There were a few maintenance issues that we felt were less than 5 star: Lawn not mowed, mining bee nests under the entrance stairs, no oars for the boat, broken drive train on the paddle boat, several services in the VRBO listing that were no longer being offered, guano (bat droppings) on the porch over the barbeque grills and deck, problems with varmints (probably racoons) getting into the trash containers, critters that ate the frozen taco meat left in the sink to thaw overnight, and a few other inconveniences. It wouldn’t take much for this to be an absolute 5 - star venue, but it isn’t quite there at this point.

Very spacious cabin for the whole family to enjoy without getting in each other’s way. Kids loved the paddle boat, canoe and rowboat. The lake was well stocked and had fun fishing!

This was the fifth time our group of friends (8 adults, 7 children) have enjoyed this beautiful cabin over Spring Break. It is spacious and relaxing.Wonderful retreat!

A large group of 10 adults, 3 under 3, and my dog stayed at the cabin. It was roomy and comfortable. The space was clean and there were more than enough pans, pots, plates and mugs for us to prepare and enjoy a few meals together. We were welcomed by a very sweet cat who tried to stay inside with us but the dog wasn’t ready to share. The animals on the property were great to visit and definitely were well loved by their humans. Our check out at 10 am sunday came too quickly. Thank you!

If you’re looking for a clean, cozy, spacious place that will fit the size of your large family/group, this is definitely a must! We needed the cabin and the cottage for our family weekend and it worked out perfect. Both are well kept and have all the amenities you need. Very clean and owners were accommodating and quick to respond to questions leading up to our stay. Highly recommend and we plan to visit again during warmer months so we can enjoy activities outside.

We rent this property every year for a famiy gathering, and it is aways fantastic. The house has plenty of room, and the open first floor makes it great for groups or families. The outside areas are also great. We will continue to go back.

This house is perfect for large gatherings. We were able to play games at the long kitchen table, we were able to take our annual family photos both sitting on the stairs and outside on the deck. It's a charming location with the animals all around. This is our second time staying here and we hope to stay here again next year. The owner is extremely responsive to all of my questions. An added bonus, this house is handicap accessible as there is a ramp going into the house and there's plenty of room inside the house to maneuver around in a wheelchair. We love it!

We enjoyed a relaxing few days with parents, sibling, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren! The cabin was beautifully decorated for Christmas and the space was inviting and comfortable.

My family and I had a weekend trip here, and it couldn’t be more perfect. Not only is the house and property next level, but they even have a petting zoo with horses on the property. The hosts are wonderful and very attentive to any needs. I can’t say enough good things.

We enjoyed hosting our Thanksgiving meal with our family and including children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. It was a beautiful place to spend such a memorable time.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. The small lake, the animals available to pet, and the outdoor scenes were some of our favorite parts. The inside of the cabin was beautiful and had enough space for all of us. There was ample amount of space, linens, bathrooms, etc. The boat, canoe, and fire pit were also a big hit. There were 2 refrigerators which was wonderful for our large family gathering. There was enough space for all of us to fit comfortably in the main area. There were enough bathrooms as well along with toilet paper, towels, and anything else we could need. We especially liked that there was a large pantry as well as a washer and dryer. This cabin had a homey feeling and we left the weekend feeling refreshed. The manager was easy to get a hold of and was great to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again.

This house was gorgeous, the property was amazing, and the process for booking was flawless. I’m trying to figure out reasons to come to Indiana just so I can stay at this house and property. Absolutely loved it!!
