Relax with the whole family at this peaceful, secluded cabin on 14 wooded acres with frontage on private Deer Lake. BBQ or grill out on the massive wooden deck surrounded by woods. It's a short, two minute hike down the sandy hill and through the wooded path to the sandy, shallow lakefront, perfect for swimming or kayaking on 70 acre Deer Lake. We have 4 adult kayaks and 1 youth kayak. Build a fire right by the house OR down at the lakefront in either of the two firepits, wood provided!
Three levels in the cabin, each with a bedroom, bathroom, and living space make this the perfect place for multiple families to escape from it all and enjoy the privacy of this remote retreat. Dogs welcome!
Everything you need for a long weekend or week away in the north woods. Comfortable beds and furniture. Overall really nice place, would be great for Winter getaway also with fireplace.
Cabin was very clean and in a private, secluded area which is just what we were looking for! Property owner was very friendly and prompt with getting us the help we needed for our Grizwald moment during our stay there. Her management team was amazing with getting to us quickly and helping us in our time of need. We greatly appreciated all of them! We had a great time and will definitely be back!
Our stay and this cabin was a perfect place for our multi-family adventure. There was something to do for everyone. Highlights of our trip included catching tiny toads along the wooded path down to the lake with the kids, fishing off of kayaks, swimming, and visiting Kakabika Falls. The cabin was clean and had everything needed to cook meals with which was very convenient. Maria was great to communicate with and very responsive, assuring is she was available if we needed anything.
Amazing cabin in the woods! Very secluded and plenty of space. Short walk down to a great private lake with kayaks. The kids loved the slide off the dock! Great swimming lake. Local supper club The Twlight was delicious and had great old fashions. Lots of games and movies supplied! Made amazing memories with family!
We had a fun, relaxing week at Deer Lake cabin. The cabin is perfectly appointed, spacious, clean, and just far enough away from it all but close enough to Eagle River for groceries. The deck has a gate closure which made it ideal for our dogs to hang out outside when not frolicking by the lake. The easy walk down to the lake takes about 2 minutes, there are plenty of kayaks to use, and the lake itself is peaceful and quiet. I highly recommend this cabin and would come back again!
Property as described. Fun to explore. Lake was great to swim in and explore.
It was perfect for my family of five (3 teenagers) and 2 large dogs. Felt like we were all by ourselves but close enough to civilization that we could easily get anything we needed. Highly recommend!
The cabin and property were beautiful and exactly as described in the listing, maybe better. Pictures don't do it justice! Excellent location, very close to town and local amenities, but had an off the grid feel. The dock area was perfect for relaxing and having a bonfire, and the lake was awesome for kayaking - the provided kayaks were nice enough that I didn't even use mine that I had brought up. The fishing was great and the sunsets were even better. The path down to the lake was gorgeous and well kept, but it's a bit of a walk, so don't forget the bug spray! The host was excellent, very responsive to anything we needed, but not overbearing and didn't leave a chore list for us as some others have in the past. I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend it to anyone interested! 10/10!
We had a very relaxing week at Maria’s place. The cottage is even nicer than the photos! There are plenty of places to spread out and come together as a family. Having use of the kayaks was a great bonus on this small quiet lake. You’re 20-30 minutes Eagle River or Boulder Junction so it is a good base camp - or just stay put and relax.
