Two gorgeous bedrooms in 4* B&B with open countryside views at Parkhead House

The accommodations are cozy and lovingly decorated! We love that you can walk to Midhope Castle and elsewhere. We love the deer, sheep and swans in the backyard. And most of all we love the care taken in our breakfast options, preparations and delicious snacks placed in our room each day!

A lovely property

James and Angela are wonderful hosts. The rooms are tasteful and very comfortable. The area is central to many points of interest and right off the highway (yet very quiet).

Everything! The comfortable beds, spacious, clean and tastefully decorated accommodation and all facilities. Breakfast was delicious.

Comfortable beds, nicely stocked mini fridge, overall clean & homey!! James & Angela are simply lovely!! Great location if you like to walk, explore, and rest.

Our short stay was wonderful. The host was very friendly and the area around the B&B was fantastic. Wish we could have stayed a few more days!

Fabulous hosts who thought of every comfort, from generous portions and a wide variety of food to loaner slippers and robes, to clear and informative House Book with many useful resources, especially getting around and food recommendations. Spectacular setting with lots to do onsite and so many options for day travels, plus the delight of coming “home” to a tranquil and private upstairs suite. We especially appreciated the personal tour of Midhope Castle and surrounds.

The accommodation was excellent. The amount and variety of food was first rate. Above all, James could not have been more helpful.

This was our first and last night lodging while in Scotland. They let us drop bags early. The owners treated us well and answered questions quickly. I left my Kindle and they held it for my return. We had lovely views. It was quiet but could get to Edinburgh within a half hour. Breakfast was excellent . We could pick and choose what we wanted and everything was yummy. Overall, we all loved it. We were happy we were coming back at the end of our trip.

The rooms were beautifully decorated, large and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was brought to our own living/kitchen area as we ordered the previous evening. The location is a quiet country setting and a lovely area. Our host James is the ultimate expert on Outlander and the nearby castles and stately houses. 5 stars all round.

We loved our stay at Parkhead House. James and Angela are first class hosts. We were welcomed as soon as we arrived and this place is just like home from home. The property is exquisite. We felt like royalty in the accommodation. The breakfasts were absolutely amazing. The surroundings were idyllic. Thank you for looking after us so well. You will not be disappointed to stay here and we hope to visit again one day. Five stars for everything.

We enjoyed the impeccable cleanliness, the friendly and attentive James & Angela and the comfortable and well-appointed rooms. The convenient and idyllic location was amazing and close to local attractions. The breakfasts were amazing and five stars for the chef. Our son said it is one of the best places he has ever stayed. All the little added extras were so welcome. This place was worth every penny and we will be back again sometime in the future. We will be sure to tell our friends about it.

James was an amazing host, making sure we had everything we needed. The apartment had anything you would need for a comfortable stay. So many thoughtful details. And to top it off, the setting is just beautiful. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Plenty of options for breakfast at a time that you want it with your own private dining room to eat in, peaceful surroundings and a comfortable room means a great nights sleep , a fabulous weekend break.

I loved the hosts, the atmosphere, the Outlander themes, and the nice accommodations. James and Angela went above and beyond my expectations.

Stayed overnight before catching a plane in the morning. Enjoyed the snacks available during the day. Comfortable furnishings and beds. Wonderful park in back. Very walkable with great views on the way to town.
