Stayed Oct 3, 2025I guess if I had to say something negative about this place. The grinder pump was a bit overwhelming. However, if you are easy going. And like amazing ceviche you are walking distance to the best Latino food in Michigan.

Stayed Jul 23, 2025Everything was very clean and Edgar was great with communication. It was conveniently located near downtown. Just as a fair warning: the shower is very short, would not recommend for anyone over maybe 5 and a half feet tall. And what you can't tell from the photos is that the bathroom is on the complete opposite side of the apartment from the bedroom. So if you are someone who makes frequent nighttime bathroom visits, it's not a short easy walk at 3am.

Stayed Jun 12, 2025Apartment was bigger than expected and perfect for the occasion. Slight issue with a clogged drain but Edgar was right on getting it fixed! Check in and check out were smooth. The area is a little depressed and not much around other the Mexican restaurants but it was only 15min drive from Down town Grand Rapids.

Stayed Apr 25, 2025The unit was very clean, had everything we needed, a king size bed along with a large sleeper sofa. It was a LITTLE difficult to find, it's underneath a tax business. However, pay attention to the email you get sent prior to check in, it tells you EXACTLY how to find it. Great stay.

Stayed Nov 14, 2024Great communication and really nice set up. The only thing I would say is was not as nice was the sub pump was extremely loud so it may be going out. You definitely can't sleep while someone is showering/using water. But otherwise the place was super cozy, great kitchen with all the utensils and dish/cookware we needed. Plenty of seating and places to work and eat. Bed was comfy and everything was clean. Is under a business but very private over the weekend. Not sure how it is during the week. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed Oct 18, 2024We wanted to stay close to the colosseums in Grand Rapids for a large event and couldn't get into our regular local hotels. So we decided to try Vrbo. Edgar, our host, was amazing to communicate with. I had lots of questions and he was very accommodating. It truly is a cozy place. Everything is as pictured and was very comfortable - even the bed! We were so thankful! Location is inconspicuous, private, and quiet. Again we were thankful. We were only there for the weekend, but it's set up so you could stay much longer - all you might need would be groceries. Parking is behind the building and out of sight from the street. Private but with surveillance. We would stay here again. It was an 12 minute drive to our events. Thank you, Edgar, for a wonderful place to stay. P&D

Stayed Sep 20, 2024CONS: Inside window wells needed vacuuming, pillows too big, missing pole in closet to hang clothes (no dresser), need handrail on stairs, couple dead bugs on floor. PROS: Decorated nice/cozy, spacious kitchen, well stocked Keurig, plenty of towels, spacious, short drive to downtown GR, reasonable price.

Stayed Aug 6, 2024Being within 10 minutes of downtown was the biggest draw for us, but it was a nice place. Plenty of room and comfortable. Despite being on a busy street, it feels quiet and secluded due to the hidden driveway entrance and basement layout.

Stayed Jul 18, 2024Perfect location for what we were looking for, although I would not suggest going for a walk at night. The Cozy Place was very quant. However I would say it would work better for 2 people more than 4, but we made it work and we do plan on snagging it again next year.

Stayed May 16, 2024Property was clean, spacious, and well decorated. However, there was no way to hang up any clothes, or any shelves or drawers to put them in. Instead we had to either keep them in our suitcases or drape them over chairs. This is very inconvenient if you're staying here for more than one night. Also, the listing gave no indication that it was a basement apartment accessible only by a steep set of stairs with no handrails.
