This incredible property features a 1 bedroom waterfront efficiency suite and a seperate cottage with twin beds if you have a need for additional space. The property is ideal for couples and can accommodate up to 4 guests. Both spaces have offer private entrances and overlook the water. Full access to the pool and the dock on Alaqua Bayou in Freeport. Enjoy amazing sunsets in this tranquil and serene setting. The beaches of South Walton County are only 30 minutes away as are the popular towns of Seaside, Grayton Beach, Aly`s Beach, Seagrove, Seacrest and Rosemary Beach. Destin, home of the world`s largest fishing fleet, great restaurants and nightlife is also a short 30 minute drive.

The suite has a seperate entrance adjacent to the parking area. The door opens into a comfortable living area with a couch, chair and small antique desk. The TV is wall mounted above a beautiful dresser with ample storage space for extra clothes, etc. The bedroom can be accessed through the efficiency kitchen and bathroom or directly via a short hallway. The bedroom features a four-poster queen bed, end tables with lamps and a closet. It has glass doors that open onto the screened porch overlooking Alaqua Bayou. On the screened porch you will find a high top table and two chairs as well as a Gas BBQ Grill and ceiling fan. The sunsets are and views of the Bayou are spectacular. For your privacy, the guest porch has a lockable room divider separating it from the owner`s area of the porch.

The small cottage that houses the second bedroom is nestled in the trees and located a few steps away. This space features twin beds, a sink with on demand hot water, an open clothes storage area and a wraparound deck. Guests staying in this bedroom share the bathroom in the suite.

Guests have private access to the suite and the cottage bedroom and have shared access to the pool, dock, firepit, gardens and the surrounding property.

I work a lot and spend some time traveling, but when I am home I would be happy to meet and share information about the area. I’ve lived in Northwest Florida for 50 years and have lots of stories to tell. Communicating through the app is always welcome.

The property is located in Waterview Cove, an established neighborhood with mature oak and magnolia trees, winding roads and attractive homes. It is a very safe area with lots of pedestrian traffic in the mornings and evenings. The neighbors are friendly and helpful.

Access to the property is via paved streets that wind through the Waterview Cove neighborhood. Parking is available adjacent to the apartment or on the grassy area to the left as you drive through the gate. If you bring a bicycle, you will love biking through the neighborhood. If you bring a kayak or other watercraft you will truly enjoy cruising around the bayou and the bay. The expansive deck over the water has rocking chairs, sun loungers and picnic tables and you are welcome to use the Big Green Egg (BGE) for grilling. There is also a sink available adjacent to the BGE. Fishing off the dock is allowed and you may catch , Redfish, Speckled Trout and Black Drum on occasion.

There are raised garden beds around the property where you will find an assortment of herbs, peppers and tomatoes depending on the season.
1. Guests may only smoke outside in the yard or on the dock - no smoking in the apartment or on the front porch, screened porch or the pool area. Smoking in any no smoking areas will result in immediate cancellation of the reservation.
2. Guests must observe quite time from 10PM to 7AM.
3. Guests can park on the concrete driveway directly in front of the apartment or on the grass to the left of where you enter the property..
4. Guests may request additional cleaning assistance for a fee, but this service may not be available and is subject to scheduling.
5. Children must be supervised at all times.
6. Use of the diving board and slide in the pool area is prohibited.
7. No unaccompanied children are allowed on the dock.
8. No unaccompanied children are allowed in the pool area.
9. Guests with more than one car should park the second vehicle on the grass to the left as you enter the property.

    What a beautiful place to relax! The sunsets are stunning. Our host, Chester, was gracious. The apartment was well appointed and very clean.
