Treehouse at the Castle

A quiet serene atmosphere tucked closely to the main amenities of the retreat but still surrounded by beautiful scenery! The grounds were sprawling perfection of relaxation and beauty. The treehouse exceeded any and all expectations from comfort, cleanliness and cozy vibes. Never heard another soul as neighbors kept to themselves, however we were often visited by the friendly cats of the community. Coffee in the early morning hours with a book all amongst the backdrop of gorgeous trees & hilly views from the porch were peak. The dim lighting throughout the outdoor properties and the multiple balconies/porches really set the ambience. The hosts were attentive in communication offering the plethora of amenities, events, and classes, while detailing everything you need to know from directions to the process of checking in/out of the retreat. We will be back for more cozy times, truly felt like a home away from home! There was every comfort you could wish to encounter inside this quaint treehouse studio, from a Roku TV, wifi, dishware, fresh coffee, microwave and mini fridge tucked away with an intimate table for 2. A perfect blend of unplugged from the bustling world while still giving those bits of homely amenities. This was a perfect spot for a quiet getaway or a place to gather with a community. We will be back again very soon!

One (probably the smallest) of several lodgings on the property. Overall, a pretty cool place to stay. The whole unit has a subtle sway to rock you to sleep. Personally, I loved it. We stayed in 90 degree weather and the A/C was a LIFESAVER. My only real complaint was one of the other guests in the castle kept leaving the common kitchen a bit messy. Thinking about coming back and trying the hobbit house. We pretty much kept to ourselves, but there are plenty of common areas to hang out.

Was perfect spot to rest for the weekend while we explored the national park and city nearby! The treehouse was so cute and cozy! The signal was a little spotty, but would sometimes connect to the nearest larger rental. We walked the property, and due to the season, there seemed to be a lot of landscaping work going on - bet it’s fantastic in the summertime! There were some local coffee shops and restaurants that were nice, but depending on which direction you go, some of the nearby cities are a bit sketchy. The property was beautiful, and though the other rentals were occupied and we saw other families, they were friendly and left us alone. For the treehouse please know that there seems to be someone living three floors below. The treehouse was private, and no one bothered us. Property manager and team was easy to talk to and friendly. We didn’t manage to get more towels, but we also left early the next morning, so it wasn’t a huge deal to us. Loved our stay - hope to book some of the other rentals one day!

Nice spot out in the woods with people around to hang out with if you choose to, or you can stay in your own little world.
