Stayed Dec 2, 2025Pros: Staying in the historic city center is the best, but you must be able to tolerate the constant sounds of celebration that we experienced during the holidays. We enjoyed it. Hosts were always available when there were questions. The doorman was always very pleasant. Access to weekly cleaning was a plus as was access to a washer and dryer. The apartment was secure, spacious and well appointed. Lots of storage space. The kitchen had everything we needed and the appliances were new. The furniture was comfortable. The beds were great. Potential concerns: the drains in the bathrooms were smelly. We compensated for this by keeping the doors closed. The 1/2 bath has the stool configured in such a way as to make its use a challenge. Living in the city center is not convenient for taxi use if you want to get out of the center, but our proximity to the tranvía, especially to get to and from the airport, was great. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Stayed Nov 5, 2025Excellent location in El Centro, beautiful views out of every window and a very comfortable stay. The owner is very responsive and accommodating. Had an issue with the refrigerator and it was replaced within a few hours. Would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Jul 20, 2019The apartment was really nice. Close to everything. It did not have a parking place, but there were plenty of parking garages around. I will definitely come back.

Stayed Jul 16, 2018The apartment is located on the 7th floor with great views of the City of Cuenca. The owner was great to work with, he allowed us to enter early and stay late. He met us at the exact time we requested at the door. The building has several layers of security and is located in a safe area. A small grocery store is located next door. A farmers market with fresh fruit and several bakeries are with in two blocks. The apartment has three bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. The third bed room requires you to enter via one of the other bedrooms. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Mar 27, 2018Our family had a wonderful (but too short!) stay in Cuenca. There was plenty of room for me, my wife, and our 2 children. The kitchen allowed us to cook many of our meals. And the apartment is just a short walk to several great restaurants and attractions - parks, markets, churches, etc. Highly recommend!

Stayed Jan 22, 2018This spacious seventh floor apartment, where we enjoyed 9 weeks, lies a block from Parque Calderón, which is the heart of the carefully protected, beautiful yet dynamic UNICEF World Heritage historical district where Cuencanos and visitors mingle. While the building door opens north onto a bustling commercial street, the apartment faces south, away from the street, and is therefore very quiet at night. As lower floors are mainly offices, they too are silent at night. And there are no barking dogs nor roosters, although birds and church bells will awaken you each morning. The building, being older, has some quirks, but the elevator works well. Security is achieved by a series of locked doors and a helpful doorman 7am-7pm. The view of the city and hills out over the red-tiled roofs, past the Old and New Cathedrals and up to Turi heights beyond is usually greeted by guests with an awed “Wow!”. Everything you can want - Rio Tomebamba for walks, parks, gyms, first rate ice-cream, museums, galleries, theatres, groceries, pharmacies, Coral department store, restaurants - everything is less than 20 minutes’ walk away, and most are very considerably less. The beds, reclining sofas, and chairs are unbeatable for comfort, the kitchen is well equipped and there is more storage space than you can possibly use! The owners did everything in their power to make our stay enjoyable. We plan on returning.
