The Retreat at Dolphin's Watch - Up

The location is a 10, it's at the end of a dead-end road right on the beach. The deck is great 20 feet from the beach. The condo itself is in dis repair, the stairs going up to the door seems to be unsafe and in need of replacement. The unit was clean but is need of a total renovation, the stove does not work, the fridge is rusty both inside and out and the bathroom might be the smallest one I have ever seen. The worst part about our stay was the bed, it's a queen bed that was just terrible for two people to sleep on. We did not get much sleep on it as it was just horrible. We love Folly and try to get there every year, this was our second stay at this condo just because of the location. Unless this condo is updated, we will not be staying again!

Location was absolutely fantastic! On arrival noticed shower curtain liner was moldy and the curtain itself dirty looking. We asked for a new curtain liner and a toaster both arrived within hours. Excellent service. Bathroom was as described. Extremely small. It had a very small hand washing sink and small toilet. The stove did not work at all. Not the burners or the oven. But we weren’t cooking so managed without it. Bedroom was beautiful and clean. However the bed was brutal. By night 3 we were both taking Ibuprofen for our backs and hips. Reported issue and was promptly provided a padded mattress cover which made it bearable for the remaining 4 nights. The legs of the bed were loose and it felt like it might collapse at any time. The headboard was not attached to anything, it was loose between the bed and the wall. We would consider returning to this property but without a new bed it’s a deal breaker.

Extremely run down and grimy. Smelled terrible as soon as we walked in. Very rund down. Stains and holes all over the walls. Kitchen cabinets and appliances very run down. Windows barely functional. Bathroom is very small and smelly and run down. Would absolutely not rent ever again for any price.

great view with easy beach access and an outdoor shower. Parking was very tight the first night, as the unit below us had 2 cars parked in an area probably best served by two cars. Host was very communicative and checkin/out was very easy. Cleaning staff was very on top of their checkout time. They were waiting on the staircase about 15-20 minutes before we needed to be out of the unit. That said, everything was very clean and comfortable for the two of us. You are off the main drag by over a mile so it was very peaceful!

location and doors/windows/deck looking at ocean were 5 starswould have liked motion detector lights on steps; some parts of railing on steps are loose and not super safe. problem with securing french door to deck. loved it overall

The property was in a great location and the view was beautiful. Check in and check out was very easy. The cleanliness of the unit was not the best. There was make up and hair on the vanity, areas of mold on the bed skirt, and the rug when we first walked in the unit did not look like it was vacuumed. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

We loved everything about our stay! The location is perfect because the beach is more private and is only a quick bike ride to the pier and restaurants. The house was very clean and comfortable.

Overall an attractive and comfortable top floor one bedroom with a small studio size kitchen area with a little stove/oven. A second unit is on the lower level.A variety of outdoor seating on the deck and hammock below with outdoor shower.The kitchen and bathroom could use some updating. No dishwasher or laundry appliances are available. The photos do not show all of the bathroom and were not entirely accurate.Parking and private beach access are wonderful. The air conditioning is great and adjustable for each of the two rooms.

This is a nice little apartment with great views and beach access. The property management company was great…we had issues with internet/cable services and took 2 days to get it going. Bathroom not suitable for larger folks. Unit needs some repairs and updates.

Our stay was wonderful. Had some tv and internet issues but we overlooked that. We didn't miss it because the weather was great.

Several small things made this stay relatively unenjoyable. First, the toilet is clearly made for a child. Both my friend and I had trouble even using it due to its tiny size and height. Also, there’s no fan in the bathroom. The bathroom mirror is also not placed in front of the sink, which is weird and inconvenient. There is rust all over the freezer door and the shower head. The place badly needs basic updating. The location. Is fantastic and right on the beach.

Well stocked , clean, comfortable beach cottage . Location right on the beach is perfect ! Bathroom needs some serious updates and there appears to be floor rot at the entry door that is covered up with tape . We had a difficult time locking and unlocking the door.

Perfect size for a couple - cute little place - bedroom was great and living rm/kitchen combo was adequate for our needs - we didn't cook just made coffee and snacks; bathroom was small but expected that from pics, beautiful ocean views and sunrise from deck and easy access to beach and quick drive to restaurants - would rent again
