A superb, contemporary apartment in the centre of the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed with excellent amenities and the stunning beaches of the Northumberland coast on the doorstep.

A contemporary apartment in the centre of a historic town
The period building, a former City Electrical factory, has been renovated to a very high specification by the renowned eco construction company Maden Eco. The contemporary design skillfully maintains the integrity of the building with period details including the superb domed windows and original beams retained as quirky features.

Inside the apartment is exceptionally light and bright and furnished in soft, muted tones in keeping with the fresh, contemporary restoration of the building and the seaside location. Vibrant fabrics and the owners’ delightful collection of local artwork bring splashes of colour and sit alongside quirky objets d’art and renovated period furniture sourced from the good selection of antique and restored furniture shops in the town.

The apartment is on the third floor with views across the historic town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. There is a lift up to the apartment in addition to stairs and the accommodation is all one floor and therefore suitable for less mobile guests.

Lovely flat in the centre of Berwick. We only used the car a couple of times as we could walk everywhere. Very relaxing flat I could sit and watch a seagull raising her young. Two grey balls of fluff. We also had a great view of the Coldstream Guards marching up the street and back again.

We enjoyed our stay. Moira the owner was very helpful and went out of her way to collect us from the train station when our arrival was delayed. The apartment was convenient for catching buses for days out. The welcome tray was appreciated and the apartment had all the facilities we needed for our stay. We would stay again.

This beautifully-appointed apartment was perfectly located for walks on the wall, catching the bus to explore the coast (Bamburgh! ) and enjoying delicious food at local cafes and restaurants. The apartment was furnished with many thoughtful necessities including a welcome box of bread and goodies.

Had a wonderful time at the Meeting House. The apartment was very clean with a very well equipped kitchen. There were some lovely touches as well. A well stocked welcome pack including bread, milk and various preserves along with little vases of flowers. The flat was very comfy and would definitely stay there again.

From start to finish this was an amazing place to stay, beautiful apartment made to feel like a home from home. The owner was warm and friendly and accessible. The location of the apartment was perfect. A 2 minute stroll to the centre of Berwick, the beach, harbour and lovely restaurants such as Audella, Autellier and Mavi, a fab Turkish restaurant. The owner had thought of every home comfort. There was a gorgeous ambiance, welcome food box, selection of teas, treats and chocs and a biscuit barrel crammed full, what’s not to love!! It was so well equipped and decorated, immaculate, we all felt we could have lived there permanently!! All toiletries were included, even wash tabs for the dish washer, and much more besides. A glorious place, would definitely return in the future, all 3 of us were agreed upon this, absolutely beaut! Thankyou Moira, an absolute delightful place to step x

My family had a great stay at this apartment in July. The apartment is very centrally located and well furnished and supplied for our stay. The welcome box with cereals / eggs / milk etc was a very nice gesture and the owner had put together a lot of helpful information about the local area (restaurants, places to visit etc). The managing agents Crabtree and Crabtree were also very kind and responsive. We would highly recommend this place!
