Stayed Sep 12, 2024We had a wonderful time at Luca's. Incredibly relaxing in the beautiful apartment. Stunning views. We especially enjoyed walking up to Radicondoli for a morning cornetto at La Nazionale cafe. Thank you Luca!

Stayed Jul 8, 2023Cosy, well equipped flat in a very exciting garden, big pool, table tennis and table soccer. Luca was really a friendly host, who made us feeling at home. As surprise there was a welcome breakfast box and his home made olive oil. Nearby a small typical Tuscan village with restaurants. We enjoyed our holiday so much.

Stayed May 14, 2022My husband and I spent a week at this lovely property in Tuscany. The apartment was very clean and well-appointed, with beautiful views and well-kept grounds. The owner Luca was so kind and willing to help us with any questions we had during our stay. This is a more isolated property and we found it easier to cook at home rather than eat every meal out; to that end, the kitchen was very functional, and we really appreciated the private outdoor space where we could eat and work while still enjoying amazing views of the countryside. My only note is that this property is on an somewhat bumpy unpaved road, but we had no problem reaching it with our rental car. Overall a lovely experience!

Stayed Sep 19, 2019We booked Podere il Giglio for five nights as a base from which we could explore, in every direction, the unique towns of Tuscany. Little did we know how much we would enjoy our accommodation itself. Simply perfect, 1 km outside of Radicondoli and surrounded by olive trees. Luca, our host, could have not been better, welcoming us with a bottle of a local wine plus everything we needed for our first breakfast. He is a real gem. We will definitely return to visit Luca again!

Stayed Sep 16, 2018Beautiful setting, good standard of accommodation, a thoughtfully equipped property and a delightful helpful host. This property is set just below the charming village of Radicondoli and has far reaching views over rolling hills. The pool is superb, and there plenty of comfortable loungers. If you like a rural setting, views, tranquility and hearing owls at night then this is the place for you. There is some lovely walking around, one 3 mile circuit goes right past the driveway. (Worth putting a bit of midge repellant on before you go ) Our host recommended a local wine producer and a local cheese producer to us. Both well worth a visit. We have had a very lovely stay and are sorry to leave.

Stayed Apr 15, 2017We had an absolutely wonderful time staying here. The property is in extremely good condition, clean and warm. The location is just so quiet that you can really unwind here. The hosts were equally wonderful and even bought us an Easter gift. They are thoughtful and really sincere people. The house served is well as a base to explore, although we could easily just stay and take in the view. I hope we are back some day.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969We had two weeks of peace and quiet in a very comfortable house on a very beautiful estate of Emauella and Luca who are very friendly people who are always available if you need something. They also have a very lovely dog and cat who are always happy to see you. There was a very nice pool with an incredible view on the mountains and fields. I wish I could take the view with me for my back garden back home. From the house we did some trips to Siena, San Gimignano, Florence which is not so far away. We also went to Luca and Pisa which is a bit further but still doable in one day. We really can recommend this place to all the people that want to stay in a quiet surrounding and also want to visit some nice villages in the neighbourhood.

Stayed Aug 13, 2016Emanuela and Lucca were truly gracious making sure we had everything we needed. The views from this little house are breathtaking and captivated us especially in the early morning and late at night We saw this property online and were so very surprised to find it is just as wonderful as it showed A beautiful house to stay in, everything that you see on the website is exactly how it is. The property was very clean and rustic. We did a few trips from here, Sienna, Volterra and San Gimignano, Certaldo One day we visited Florence by train and Emanuela was so kind to arrange our traintickets online. Other days we were happy to sit and enjoy the charms of this lovely place with the olive trees and the cat and dog who came to visit us. A great place to stay and a great experience. Our kids loved the swimmingpool very much. Il ciliegio was everything we thought it would be and more. We had a wonderful time. Wim Scheemaker

Stayed Aug 20, 2016The house is well equipped, clean and nicely decorated. The beds are perfect and long enough for tall Durch people :-). The place has a spectacular view on the Tuscan hills to the south and is very quiet. There is a nice pool which our kids really enjoyed as well as the outdoor table tennis. Radicondoli is a nice town with a bakery where we bought our fresh bread every morning. There are many small old villages in the surrounding with nice restaurants, coffee bars and gelaterias. And let us not forget the owners, Lucca and Emanuela are extremely hospitable and willing to help you if you need it. So, highly recommended and we will be back.

Stayed May 23, 2016We stayed just over a week with our two kids (ages 5 and 2 yrs) and loved it! The farmhouse has been beautiful restored and our apartment (Il Ciliegio) was bright, fresh, clean and just perfect for our family. Emanuela and family are so friendly and considerate - they offered a crib, bed rail and even had toys there waiting for our kids! They live upstairs in the main part of the house and are available if you need them and happily answered all our questions about the area. The other guesthouse is separate from the main house so we never even saw the people staying there. The farm is a very short drive from Radicondoli, however day outings will take usually 45 min to 1 hour drive (i.e. Siena - 1 hour, beaches - 1+ hour, Volterra - nearly 1 hour, Florence - 1.5 hours, Pomarance - 40 mins (great playground for kids here!), etc). Other positives include: STUNNING views, gorgeous pool (though too cold for us to use in May...), great shower, wifi, ping pong table, homemade olive oil for sale, near sheep dairy farm (with fresh cheese/yogurt for sale), pond with fish/frogs/turtle, free laundry machine We would definitely stay at Podere Il Giglio again and recommend it, especially those wanting to relax and let their kids just run around!
