'The Carriage House:' Walk to Peninsula State Park

This is the second time we’ve stayed in one of their properties. They’re exceptionally clean and the host is very responsive. Check in and check out process is easy. The location is ideal. There’s so much to do in door County and I would really encourage you to explore. We really enjoyed taking the ferry to Washington Island and then another ferry to Rock Island. See picture below! There is quite a bit of street noise, even though the house is in the woods. This is most likely is not an issue unless you have the windows open….. which we did because the air conditioning unit in the master bedroom was extremely loud and we couldn’t sleep with it on. There are several fans in the house, and also some additional stand-up fans in closets which really helped!

We stayed two nights. The house was spotless and very comfortable. We visited three lighthouses and the state park nearby.

Everything was excellent, and we enjoyed the rooms.

Super cozy cottage and located very close to everything! Host responded to communications quickly! Would definitely stay here again! Great trip.

We saw many deer crossing the road at night and running into the property! Grandparents vibe type of place.

A cute, very clean and well-kept second-floor apartment. Both bedrooms had window air conditioners. Nice sized living room, 2 kitchen tables (room to play board games!). Nice hardwood floors, except in the kitchen and bedroom.Great location, right outside of Peninsula! Very nice for the price. Would book again.

My wife and I planned this trip pretty last minute to come up for our wedding anniversary weekend. It was a clean and quiet stay in a great central location between all the little towns. We had a magical time and would definitely stay again. We were married overseas last year and honeymooned in Spain. Door County certainly held up

Property was so colorful with all the leaves. It was large enough for the two of us.

Enjoyed this cottage for a spontaneous trip to the Door with a college friend! The photos were very accurate and it was a lovely stay.

Most everything was great could use more than one window airconditioner and toaster needs replacing but they were no biggie

This was a very cute property, it reminded me very much of my grandparents home that was nestled amongst the trees. The property managers were very responsive when we were looking for items in the cabin. There were ample items to keep us comfortable with the changing weather such as, 2 standing fans, extra blankets and extra towels. The stove sometimes has a hard time igniting but they do provide an electric lighter. If you or a member of your party have mobility difficulties just be aware that there is a steep and shallow staircase you will need to climb to get into the cabin. There is one AC in the back bedroom, we only needed it for a couple of nights though. You can use fans to help circulate the cold air from one room to another. My one true complaint was that there were many bugs in the bedroom at the back of the cabin. As I was going to bed I would see beetles crawling under the bed, and small insects crawling across the ceiling, the corners of the bedroom and bathroom needed to be dusted free of cobwebs with dying flies in them, and I would wake up with mosquito bites from time to time. You are in a wooded area however, some insects are to be expected. Now, if you use the bedroom at the front of the house, I was assured by my mother and sister that they had no issues.

The property was clean and centrally located for Door County. The area was quiet and the property met expectations.
