Absolutely delightful. Amazing property with amazing views.

This property is outstanding on all fronts. The hosts, Kay and Wayne are very welcoming, leave you to your privacy but are on hand if needed. They allowed us to check in early and check out late. The property is even better than the photos. No expense is spared on furninishings and it has everything you will need. It is located perfectly, just ten mins from the town and very quiet. We explored the area and some of the islands. It's stunning and we cannot wait to return!

Magic views from a well equipped, beautiful property. Everything you need plus comfort. Would have loved to use the kayaks but it was a little chilly, maybe next time. Easy communication with the owners and good instructions.

Thank you Kaye and Wayne, we really enjoyed our 4 night stay in beautiful Paihia.The house is spotless, and filled with everthing you need for cooking, comfort etc. The verandah views are spectacular, and the walk into the township is really pleasant. Would recommend!

This is an amazing place to stay, great unit, large verandahs, great communication with hosts. Walk to shops and restaurants, Woolworths around the corner. Great takeaway fish and chips across the road. The views are uninterputed and amazing. Very comfortable space.The kitchen is well equiped and the bed was very comfotrtable.

Fantastic position and really well appointed accommodation- everything was there-comfortable and homely. Waitangi meeting grounds and Russell both well worth a visit. Highly recommend .

The ocean views were amazing! Falling asleep to the sound of waves was a joy. The house is beautiful with huge windows and decks on 2 sides and was well stocked. Comfortable beds, great shower, toilet separate from shower/tub room, clean, new appliances. It was a great jumping off point to see the Treaty Grounds and museum, a boat ride to Hole in the Rock (we saw whales!), and a drive to Cape Reinga.

We stayed at this lovely home during Cyclone Tam. If you have to be storm stayed, this is the place to do it. Lovely, clean, well appointed, and spacious with incredible views. Host was so kind and even brought us a portable stove during power outage. Would definitely stay again.

From the moment we arrived my husband & I knew the home would be perfect. The views are magnificent. Location is excellent. We walked everywhere including to the grocery store, restaurants & shops. You just need a car for excursions. The beach at the bottom of the hill is lovely for swimming The home is so clean, organized & comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked & there are plenty of towels & linens. We met the owner Kay upon arrival & her hospitality was superb! We felt this was our home away from home. It was sad to leave & we’d go back in a heartbeat. We’ve been renting homes through VRBO for over 20 years & we were so happy with this one!!

Kay’s place is awesome! The view cannot be beat, the entire place is meticulously clean, and the couches/beds are very comfortable. We had a relaxing week at Kay’s, and we loved staying within walking distance to town, the beach, and the Waitangi Treaty Grounds. Never used the kayaks, but we appreciated having plenty of towels for the beach or bath. Also, the kitchen included all of the cooking supplies we needed, and the BBQ was spotless (as well as the whole house). We were in NZ for 5 weeks, and this definitely was our top place. Thank you, Kay!

We spent 3 nights here to unwind a bit after a two week hiking trip of the South Island. We could not have picked a better place. It had everything we needed. Amazing views from all the rooms and we never even used the car. Walked all over, to Paihia and the ferry to Russell. Even walked to the Treaty Grounds for the tour. Kay was very welcoming when we arrived and it was so private we never saw them again. I highly recommend this property.

Fantastic location in a quiet area yet within minutes walk of all facilities in Paihia. Outstanding views from the balconies and the property is equipped with everything you could wish for. Thank you to the hosts Kay and Wayne for a wonderful stay. Highly recommended.

We loved the view of the Bay of Islands from the wrap around balcony of the house. It was very private and in a beautiful location. The house had everything we needed and more. Just a beautiful house.

Great stay

My husband and I and our two 10 year old daughters went to Paihia for three nights and Kay’s place was perfect. Plenty of room, cozy, super clean and amazing views. The location is perfect, an easy walk to Countdown, shops, restaurants and the pier and an easy drive to Waitangi, the Russell car ferry and nearby towns. Unfortunately we didn’t cross paths with Kay but all communication was clear and timely. Highly recommend and would definitely return.
