Kick back and relax in our stylish Penthouse apartment. Situated on the exclusive West coast estate of Sugar Hill, and including owners Beach Club Membership at the 5* Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel.

On entering Sugar Hill, you will step into an oasis of beauty. Surrounded by over 50 acres of manicured gardens with majestic swaying palm trees, tropical birds, tree frogs, geckos, parrots and even green monkeys habitat this delightful environment.

The main focal point is the estates Clubhouse, with a superb infinity pool and popular restaurant ‘The Deck’. This fabulous setting overlooking the West coast, is perfect for that sundowner and a great place for meeting people. On site there is a fully equipped gym, changing facilities. Four floodlit tennis courts, a small convenience store, and 24 security all available complementary to our guests. The second of the pools is very close to our apartment. This fabulous environment is the perfect place to relax after a hard day at the beach or exploring.
December 2025 saw the launch of our own Padel Court’s. These particular courts are on a pay as you go basis and booking via reception.

As hard as it may be to leave the beautiful pools, our owners Beach Club Membership is available for our guests to use at the 5* Fairmont Royal Pavilion Hotel. This includes very comfortable sun beds, beach umbrellas, shower and toilet facilities, car parking, beach bar and restaurant. Water sports are available at a discounted rate, as is food by showing your membership card. Less than 4 mins drive away.

Holetown, is Ideally situated 5 minutes away by car, with an abundance of restaurants to suit any budget. Supermarket, banks, cinema, medical centre, shops, designer shopping and local crafts. Speightstown, is less than 10 mins by car away with fabulous eateries/bars. In fact our coastline is scattered with some wonderful bars and restaurants.

In our opinion, the most impressive aspect of our apartment, is the private outside living space. With sumptuous furniture providing ultimate comfort and total relaxation. The large, renovated private roof terrace, has two sun beds, sofa, table and chairs. It really is the ideal place to be for relaxing, reading or as daylight fades, for watching the amazing sunsets over the distant sea views with a sun downer, or even star gazing, pure bliss!

The covered lower terrace, over looking the pool and gardens, is accessible from the lounge and bedroom. It allows you to enjoy lunch or candlelit dining, with additional comfortable chairs for reading/relaxation and 2 external fans for your comfort.

Our refurbished apartment, and indeed our second home, is extremely well equipped for the rental market. Mosquito netting has been installed to all external doors, there is a fully equipped kitchen with everything you would need, an oven, brand new Smeg fridge freezer, a new dishwasher, a washing machine and dryer. The kitchen leads to the delightful lounge area with 2 sofas. Samsung flat screen TV with local and international programmes, with the addition of a Fire stick providing Prime TV, live sport and video on demand. A telephone with free local calls, Bluetooth portable music box. Ceiling fan and brand new AC unit has been installed here to help with the summer heat. Doors that lead out to the lower terrace.

Completely renovated bathroom with a quality walk in shower and sink unit. Luxury cotton towels are provided. Pool and beach towels, beach parasols, cooler and 2 portable lightweight beach chairs are also for use.

The fabulous bedroom with a brand new US king size bed ( June 2024) lots of storage, hair dryers and straighteners, mirror. It has an AC unit and ceiling fan for those warm tropical nights.

Barbados is known for its wonderful beaches and fabulous people. Our upgraded apartment, with modern conveniences, will give you the opportunity to truly explore all aspects of this wonderful Island with the flexibility of apartment living in beautiful surroundings.

Items of note;

Our property Manager can arrange car hire, groceries, excursions, fast track security and even a private chef! Car hire is highly recommended due to location. You can walk to Holetown 30/35 mins and beach 20mins. Downhill going!!!!

**Housekeeper is provided on bookings over 7 nights or more. If more visits are required these can be arranged and are payable by the guests locally. Only those booked can stay at the apartment.

**There is a short flight of stairs to get to the apartment (NO lift) and another set to reach the upper terrace. All utility costs/house keeping/ Etc are included in your rental rate.

**Please note that our apartment is strictly non smoking/vaping etc both inside and outside on the terraces. Thank you!

** Sugar Hill are trialling a shuttle bus to both Holetown and Fairmont beach club. Bookings to be made 24hrs in advance and include 3 morning and 3 afternoon.

**The month of September and early October, is the lowest quietest season on the Island and when Sugar Hill tend to close the restaurant for staff holidays/renovations. During this time renovations on the estate can/may also take place. Please do reach out with any questions before booking over this time frame**

    Just back from a fantastic holiday in this beautiful apartment. The quality of the fittings is first class, the location is brilliant (although a car is advisable) and the gardens, pools & restaurant at Sugar Hill are outstanding. Having visited Barbados many times, and having usually stayed in hotels, the experience of living in you own home was fantastic, with options to dine in or out - the kitchen facilities are great - and it really does feel like you are at home - Gail & Chris are wonderful hosts, with excellent communication before, during and after our stay, and Alicia on hand locally to answer any queries. The interior of the apartment is superbly appointed - however the crowning glory is the wonderful outside space, both the dining terrace and especially the rooftop terrace, which is superbly finished and furnished and perfect for sunbathing or enjoying the glorious sunsets with a nice glass of something cold! A lovely touch is the membership of the Fairmont Royal Pavilion Beach Club, which really enhances the experience of the holiday and gives access to the fantastic beach, bar / restaurant and watersports. If you are looking for a tranquil, beautifully appointed bolt hole on the glorious west coast of Barbados, with easy access to fantastic beaches, restaurants and shopping, look no further! We'll be back soon.

    Our one-week stay at this stunning penthouse in the exclusive Sugar Hill Estate was pure magic - the most exquisite holiday rental experience we've ever had. It felt like a five-star resort offering complete privacy and comfort.The apartment is luxurious and flawlessly equipped. The kitchen has everything you need, the living space has brand new AC, and the renovated bathroom felt like a spa. Thoughtful touches like beach towels and a cooler made days out seamless.The private outdoor space is the true highlight. The lower terrace overlooks a peaceful pool, perfect for dining, but the rooftop terrace is a sanctuary.     We had a wonderful stay at Sugar Hill. The apartment is everything you need and more.If you have any questions just ask as from the point of booking all the way to the end of your stay you are kept informed and updated by the hosts. This includes the obligatory checking in process but also tips on the area, restaurants, shopping where to, how to and what to. The beach club membership is an added advantageWe will be returning to Barbados as soon as we are able and will have no hesitation in staying here again.

    We had a wonderful trip to Barbados and enjoyed our stay at this condo in Sugar Hill. Gail went above and beyond to provide us with information and tips for a great vacation. The groceries in the refrigerator when we arrived was really a nice extra. The unit is well maintained and was spotless. We loved the two outdoor balconies and spent much of our time at the condo on them. The owners provide so many extras such as beach chairs, beach umbrella, beach towels, cooler bags, etc. We had a rental car and drove to different beaches and sites around the island. I recommend this unit for any couple planning to visit Barbados.

    Just back from a wonderful 10 days at Sugar Hill. Amenities were great, two fabulous pools, great restaurant,Gym, Tennis as well as perfectly manicured lawns and surroundings together with 24 hours security and daytime concierge /reception. If anything the whole place is even better than portrayed in the photographs. Gail has a wonderful apartment with two lovely terraces overlooking one of the pools. The apartment is extremely well equipped with everything you would need and many extra small touches which make for a stress free and relaxing holiday. The apartment was extremely clean and very comfortable, and the air-conditioning worked a treat in the hot weather. Excellent communication from start to finish, and Gail was extremely helpful with lots of tips and recommendations as we were first time visitors to Barbados. As others have already said, hiring a car is best but it is only a short drive to most places including great restaurants and supermarkets as well as the Fairmont Beach club which we used on a few occasions. There are also so many things to see and do on Barbados so a car allows you to explore the island and all its lovely attractions at your leisure. We hired a car from Stoutes rentals. The process was very easy and the car was delivered to the apartment the morning after we arrived and picked up again on our last day as recommended by Gail. We would definitely return to this lovely apartment and do not hesitate to recommend to others!

    Had a wonderful time and very much enjoyed the Sugar Hill apartment. The Deck restaurant on location and both pools are even better than the pictures. Meals outside on the balcony are a plus. The location and how close it is to the beach and Holetown are ideal. After a long day of exploring we always looked forward to getting back to relax and enjoy the facility.

    The previous reviews say it all but what an amazing place to stay! Gail and Chris have such a lovely property that's nestled slightly inland overlooking the sea. The complex is beautiful with lovely pools and the surrounding grounds are kept immaculate. It's a very serene location. Their apartment has everything you need and more and we couldn't have been more comfortable and happy. Access to the beach club is a great additional perk to use to make sure you get some sunbeds right on the beach! Definitely worth hiring a car although we did the walk up and down to the beach a couple of times too - If going into town, we wouldn't recommend walking the main road off Sugar Hill at night time because it can be a bit hairy, but if you do, you will see lots of fireflies ha! Their property manager was also super helpful and can help with things like hiring a car. P.S if you do hire a car, just ask for it to be dropped off to the apartment they will sort it. We had nothing to fault at all and loved our stay here. If you do go in off-season like we did then expect a lot of restaurants on the West Coast to be closed. Not all of them, but a fair few are. But almost everywhere is open on the south coast A wonderful stay and I'm sure we'll be back in the future.

    This property gave us exactly what we were looking for and more! The place was immaculate, and all dealings with both the owner Gail, and property manager Alicia, were above and beyond. Gail is a delight! Ownership pride was OBVIOUS the minute we stepped past the threshold. The resort itself boasted two pools, yet beach access was only minutes away via car, with shared amenities from The Fairmont. Gail provided excellent guidance on the resort and the area, and would be in best interest to take her recommendations, especially regarding a car rental. It's a wonderful combination of resort and home. This was our first vrbo and the standard has now been set very high. Thank you Gail and Chris! Until next time!     I have stayed at SH many times and this is one of the best apartments. Well appointed, nicely refurbed bathroom and upper patio. Lots of little details including a very welcome fridge full of essentials for us late arrivals. Great communication from owner. My new go to for BIM.
