Stayed Feb 14, 2025The cabin was perfect for my wife and me to have disconnected time to catch up on rest, laughs, and books. William came and chatted with us shortly after we arrived to introduce himself and provide some more fire starters. He gave us the history of the cabin, the property, and the area which was fascinating. We stayed three nights with varying weather each day. The cabin was warm and just cozy enough without feeling trapped. We visited Knights Gambit, ate Bodo's Bagels, had a nice dinner at C&O, and chilled out next to the fireplace. Harris Teeter is 15 minutes away for all your grocery needs. It feels like you're really out there but in reality, you are 10-15 minutes from restaurants, grocery, winery, ABC, etc. Keep in mind the bed is a full bed, so if you're used to a California king, get ready for snuggle time.If you are looking for a quiet getaway that is still close enough to anything you'd want or need, this is your spot for sure. William is responsive and attentive to your stay, and is a genuine guy that just wants the best experience possible for you. I am sure the spring/summer is even better with the pool and fires at the pavilion. We will be back for sure!

Stayed Dec 31, 1969This cabin is perfect for those looking for a unique getaway - we enjoyed everything about our stay there. The cabin is cozy and comfortable, the outdoor fire pit area is just lovely, and the views can't be beat. Very convenient to Charlottesville and surrounding areas, vineyards, etc. We would return in a heartbeat.A couple of notes: we are both short and the cabin felt made for us; if you're over 6ft tall you will probably not be as comfortable as ceilings and doors are low. I was absolutely comfortable using the soaking tub but if you are a shower person, you might miss having that amenity.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969There were definitely positives as well as drawbacks. I wouldn't choose to stay here again unless it was a good deal to save money, which isn't the case. Hotels can be found at a better price. Cleanliness is a huge issue. There was dust and dozens of dead bugs on windowsills, near the bed, and other surfaces. I felt the need to be careful where I touch during my stay lest I accidentally touch something leaving my hand covered in dirt and bugs. The walls had significant damage and were caving. There were worn undergarments left behind by previous guests under the bed. Toilet needed to be cleaned inside the bowl, view of it from the tub was not great. They really just need a good housekeeper. The tub is also a LOT smaller than it looks in pics. My husband is 6'2 and he didn't fit. We ended up showering at a local gym. Some positives were the view and the pool. Loved that, it was amazing. Wildlife was beautiful to see. The stay was alright, a bit stressful at times. It felt more like summer camping than I thought it was going to be.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969Cute rustic cabin that allows for a simplistic and quiet getaway. Nice place to connect with as few distractions as possible from the outside world. The firepit overlooking the mountains at sunset was a bonus!
