Riva Apartment with balcony

Lovely modern apartment which was a very comfortable stay for 6 nights to use as a base. Only slight down side is that there needs to be a few more facilities/ items for a longer stay eg bottle opener, cleaning equipment etc to keep apartment nice during stay. Washing machine was a really useful addition. Excellent location to explore Ortigia and surrounding areas. Also managed to find free parking close by. The Wonderful Italy team were helpful in providing good quality advice and information.

We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment . It was very clean and vey spacious. It was in a very good location for centre of Ortigia and was very secure. We felt the apartment lacked some equipment and communication was confusing at times.

Instructions were clear and we were met at the property on time. Whilst the property is high spec (marble floors, flat screen televisions etc), our experience was not great. The key issue was the fact the Wi-Fi wasn't working. It materialized that there was no modem in the property but in a shared property and no one was able to reset it. This had an adverse impact on our stay as didn't want to spend 100s on roaming charges. Even with roaming on the tv's didn't work and I was unable to purchase rail tickets, contact home or even find out what was happening locally. Secondly, on arrival the oven was not clean, the hand held shower was broken and the accommodation lacked equipment such as kettle, 1 wine glass to share and limited kitchen utensils. The plan was to be located near the market so we could buy and cook the produce. It was very difficult to cook without equipment, especially knives to assist with food prep. The view was also poor(see pic), the advert described the room as having a great view. In fact, we were overlooked so it meant keeping the shutters closed a lot of the time. There is a balcony that you can barely stand on so were not able to eat on there but was nice as the room was very dark. Location was good, bed comfy and air condition worked well.

My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in Feb. ‘25. Check in went smoothly with Olga meeting us and explaining the apartment. She was very gracious about meeting with us on our schedule. Unfortunately the extractor fan and over-the-stove light were not working. This made the kitchen dim for cooking in the evening. The walls behind and beside the stove are just painted, not tiled and as such are stained with cooking grease. Recycling/ garbage disposal instructions were provided. Surprisingly no salt or pepper was in the apartment, but there was dish soap, hand soap and bodywash/ shampoo. The balcony is a little Juliette off of the bedroom. The washing machine was a washer/ dryer combo and had a rapid cycle. It was clean. There is an electrical key, so when you remove the key to leave the apartment the washing machine and electricity to all the outlets turns off. So nothing will charge while you are out. Of course the fridge keeps working! We used the Talete Parking which was a quick 5 min walk away. It appeared sketchy as there was a man wandering about and trying to extract money from the pay parking machine. However , our car was safe, there is video surveillance ( or so the sign says) and there is a tourist bus stop right out front of the entrance. We used the EasyPark App. Our security deposit was returned by Olga when she popped by to check us out.

We had a wonderful time. The only downfall is there are 49 steps to get to the apartment. Other than that, it's a beautiful apartment with great views.

Overall very pleased with our stay , communication with Wonderfulitaly staff was good and check in / out was easy. The apartment was very clean and comfortable . My only minor gripe was there were no change of towels during a 9 day stay plus lack of dish towels and cleaning clothes.

The flat is in good shape, the bed comfortable and it is nice to have a laundry machine in-suite. We had issues communicating with the property manager as we arrived in Syracuse after 6PM on a Friday. Their office closes at 6PM for the weekend. We did finally arrange for a person to check us in, who was very nice and well-informed, but we discovered upon arrival that we had no hot water and it took until Sunday for someone to respond.

Perfect condo in a perfect location!!

Very comfortable apartment with great location to local markets and restaurants, would stay here again.

It was a great location & very clean. They seemed to leave out that the airconditioner in the kitchen didn't work. Also, at 10:00 a.m. we were waiting for the property manager to come and inspect the property when the new person turned the key not knowing we were still there. Being that check-in was at 3:00 we were very surprised that somone had the keys. With covid and all, we were very surprised. Overall, a beautiful, clean, comfortable apartment. Thank you
