Refurbished Flat in Central Reykjavik in a Quiet Residential Area

This was a lovely little flat right in the heart of Reykjavik. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go, but we definitely also took advantage of the public bus stop located on the corner. The flat was clean and supplied everything we needed for a week's stay. Hallgrimskirkja is about a 6 minute walk away, and there is a small grocery store about 15 minutes walk away. This is a great place for your home base while in Reykjavik!

Apartment was very clean and had all supplies needed. The location is excellent. Parking was good. Communication with owner was very good The only issue was the coffee pot. It should be replaced. Would stay there again

Great spot for me and my girlfriend to stay for the start of our trip in Reykjavik. The flat had everything we needed. It was a great location for walking into downtown Reykjavik and exploring the city. We would stay there again when we come back to Iceland! 🇮🇸

Right in the downtown area near the big church and famous shopping street. All the downtown area are with in walking distance but yet it is in a quiet neighbourhood. The best part you can always find a good parking spot on the side free. The second best part is it has a washing machine on site.

Our host was the best. The flat was within walking distance of shopping and restaurants.

Everything was wonderful! Great host, great location, easy to walk to bus stops for tours and airport transfer.We just couldn't quite get the TV to work (which is fine we are in Iceland after all!) and a lamp in the main room would've been very helpful. Would very much recommend.

The flat was very clean and in a good location. Easy to walk to many sights, with great bus access a short walk away too. The neighborhood was quiet. Highly recommended.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. The location was good, and we were able to walk to restaurants. Can’t comment on the hot tub that the description mentioned, because we didn’t see a hot tub. We stayed here for three nights prior to embarking on a cruise. Since we spent our time sightseeing, our needs were minimal. There were no paper towels or napkins, so we bought some and left them. Hopefully they will be there for the next guests. Would not recommend this for anyone who has difficulty with stairs. This is a basement unit, which makes it necessary to carry luggage up and down a set of stairs with no handrail.

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in July 2025. It was a comfortable, relaxing, and clean apartment. Kitchen facilities where we were able to prepare a couple meals ourselves were appreciated. The location was excellent and we were able to walk to Laugavegur, Hallgrimskirkja, and other locations nearby. Thank you!

Me and my partner really enjoyed our stay here for 4 nights recently.The apartment is in a great location within a short walking distance of the city centre. It is well equipped, warm and comfortable.The host provided clear and easy to understand checkin instructions which made finding and accessing the apartment easy.Free car parking on the street out the front of the property is a bonus.

My wife and myself are celebrating our 40th year anniversary, we went to Iceland for three days, and stay at Uli’s place for two nights. It was beautiful, clean, and very close to downtown., It was beautiful, clean, and very close to downtown. Uli was vey informative at all times

Lovely stay in a great location. Easy check in/check out, lots of free overnight parking on street.Walking distance to Laugavegur for restaurants, walk to Hallgrimskirkja, shops and other restaurants, Harpa. Also easy to just drive in and park near Harpa. Flat was perfect for the three of us, with a comfy sofa bed for our 9 yr old. Would recommend some type of eye mask for sleeping in the summer.

We stayed at the flat May 20-22, 2024 and enjoyed our stay. The flat is well equipped, clean, and nicely upgraded. Everything needed was provided and the host is very well organized!

The flat is clean and comfortable and in a very good position. Parking is easy although it is within comfortable walking distance of the main part of the town..

This place was just perfect for our 5 days in Reykjavik. Location is excellent, it’s warm and cozy.

I thought the extra pillows should have pillow cases on them . 3/4 roll of toilet paper , no extra .Other than that . It was walking distance to everything.

it was the perfect place to stay as we were up and out early to see the the fantastic sites that Iceland has to offer. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was nice and hot. We had everything we needed, the place was clean. would highly recommend

We really enjoyed our stay in this cozy apartment! Our host was very thoughtful with the little touches, like a fully stocked kitchen and great storage. We drove on this trip, but it was close to the bus line and within walking distance of our favorite pool and bakery. We would stay here again, for sure.

Overall, I'm happy with the stay, but did have a few things that made it a bit less than perfect. The location is perfect for walking into the city. The street parking is free and was never an issue to find. The flat itself was nice, it is in a basement/somewhat underground level, so there are stairs to the entry door. No issues getting into the flat, communication was great and provided in advance. I walked in to find a used washcloth (I assume from the cleaning crew) on a dining room chair. The first night we showered the flat got so steamy, we had to open all the windows to vent it, we were provided info that opening the windows does help with moisture. However, I'm certain the in floor heating wasn't working in the kitchen, because that floor was always cold, so windows were closed most of the time and only opened them for showering. The bed was ok, it wasn't the best for us, and the pillows were flat as cardboard. The first night, we didn't realize there were extra pillows for the pull out bed in the living room, so we slept with one flat pillow each. Once we found extra (no additional pillow cases provided), it did help a bit, but those were also very flat. Washing machine was a nice perk, plenty of space for your belongings; no kitchen towels provided (cloth or paper), no shower soap, only shampoo bottles - overall, we made it work.

Overall we enjoyed our stay, however the flat was lacking the basics such as hand soap, Paper towels, hand towels, wash clothes and a bath matt. More kitchen utensils would have helped when cooking.

We had a lovely stay at this apartment, July 11-20, 2024. It is centrally located and we had very easy parking for our rental car, Close to shopping, resteraunts and sight seeing. We really liked the apartment. Bus stop 11 for tour buses is just around the corner and a few blocks down, about a 10 minute walk. I highly recommend the apartment. Ulli was very good at communicating with me and made our stay very easy. Thank you, Lorie

We enjoyed our stay. Comfortable and fairly well stocked, ample street parking. No real issues. You do hear a bit of street noise and occasionally the guest in the flat above. I had a little difficulty checking in as I couldn't find the attachment showing where the lock box was, luckily the clean crew was there for the above flat and showed me.
