Great room, friendly service and easy stay

This is a great little space for one or two people with easy access to all of Portland. It has the best bathroom and shower of almost anyplace I've stayed! The patio is lovely, lots of ways to walk in the neighborhood with great places to eat. Easy parking on the street. Scott is an attentive and kind host.

Awesome little quiet peaceful spot to stay in the lovely NE Alberta area. Very clean place, nice covered porch, & host Scott was so friendly & helpful with all his suggestions. Walkable things to see & good eats in every direction.

Wonderful space, had all I needed and was so clean. Grear location with very appealing food and shopping options. Scott is laid back and super helpful. Can't wait to return!

We stayed here over the weekend and absolutely loved it. Scott's place captures the authentic Portland vibe! It’s tucked into a cute neighborhood that feels local and lived-in, not touristy, which made the experience feel more personal and relaxed. The location is walking distance to tons of amazing vegan restaurants, coffee shops, and things to do. Whether you’re into vintage shops, craft beer, or just strolling through leafy streets, it’s all right there. The space itself was clean, thoughtfully decorated, and had just the right touches to make it feel like home. If you're looking for a place that gives you a real taste of Portland without sacrificing comfort or convenience, this is it.

I am so thankful we found Portland Eco house. I have stayed in Portland twice before but this is definitely where I will try to return to. It is bright and colorful and comforting and safe and has everything you need. There is street parking and you can also easily walk to many bars and restaurants. The patio area is incredible for coffee in the morning and a nightcap a night. The owner is very attentive. Definitely 5 stars!

I really enjoyed staying in this cute little place and in this part of Portland! Scott has made excellent use of every inch of space here and made it easy to compost and recycle nearly everything. I loved the funky decor and the little private patio outside my door, and the shower was great. Half a block from Alberta St and close to endless options for dining, it was a great location. Traveling alone and slightly disabled, I’m always concerned about accessibility and my safety, but had no concerns here. Scott was so kind and even helped me unload and reload my luggage and medical equipment into my car! He texted once to ask how my stay was and asked if I needed anything, and encouraged me to contact him if I did. Thanks again, Scott! You are a nice human!

It was a delight to return to the Patio Suite. The accommodations were, again, relaxing, comfortable, clean, and convenient. The shower is beautiful and has amazing water pressure! The entire bathroom is very well thought out. The kitchen space works well for small meals with a toaster oven, fridge and microwave. Electric kettle, and French press, tea, and coffee and more are provided. The decor is bold and soothing, all at the same time!! The patio has a lovely seating area where we enjoyed backgammon and libations both evenings. The host is attentive, and invested in your comfort. When in this town, we’ll always stay here!!

I can’t recommend this place enough. It is clean, safe, has free parking, and was so comfortable. I would love to come back.

Very cute property conveniently located to where we have family. Walkable neighborhood. Short walk to the newly James Beard award winning patisserie JinJu and a corner wine/liquor store.Scott was a very attentive host and provided a plethora of info. Would def stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at the eco suite. Comfortable bed, cute outdoor space, and great location. If you are planning to do much cooking be aware it’s not set up for that, and doing dishes in the bathroom sink is a bit awkward. There are tons of places to eat nearby so that wasn’t an issue for us.

We had a great stay in the patio suite! Scott was a great host and the suite had everything we needed! Scott had a great welcome binder with recommendations for things in the area. We enjoyed spending time out by the fire pit each night as well. Can’t wait to stay again next time we are in Portland!

My wife and I really enjoyed staying here. You could tell a lot of thought and care went into renovating this older home. The bathroom was spacious and clean. Lots of little details like variable light switches, nice window shades, etc. The host also provided helpful suggestions for places to go in Portland like restaurants and cafes.

The Patio Suite provided me with two perfect nights while I was in Portland. Everything I could’ve needed was provided. The bed was comfortable, the shower had incredible water, pressure, the patio was a delight to eat dinner on, and the accommodation was very clean. Scott is a fabulous communicator and made sure everything was to my liking. I’m returning in July for a friends wedding and will stay at the Patio Suite again.

We really enjoyed our stay and were very impressed that everything we needed was available in such a small package! We walked to dinner and drinks on Mississippi Street one evening and a little hideaway on Alberta Street. Scott was extremely helpful and a great host. Highly recommend!

I had a very comfortable stay at the Eco House when I stopped in Portland to visit my daughter. The location was very convenient and walkable and the home at all of the amenities needed for a nice stay. Thanks to Scott for hosting me!

The Patio Suite is located in a quiet, tree lined Alberta neighborhood. The courtyard is just lovely, and everything is tastefully appointed. It is immaculately clean. There is an ecological focus on how one deals with one's garbage, which I appreciate. It just involved putting things in the appropriate bin. The bed was so comfortable. We had a very pleasant stay.

This little place has everything you need for a quiet get away in beautiful comfort. The owner is a wonderful communicator. Parking on the street is easy. It’s perfectly situated near all my favorite neighborhoods and, if you’re up for a walk, a great place to go by foot! We enjoyed a concert on Mississippi, and just wish we had time to enjoy the patio more! Oh, the pressure in the shower was heavenly!

The Patio Suite was just perfect for Chris & I's stay. Clean, bright, colorful with much thought into all the amenities to make for a easy, relaxing stay. We had the good fortune of nice Spring weather and so time was enjoyed at the patio table as well as the fire pit area. I enjoyed getting to meet the owner Scott and our conversation. Scott checked in during our stay to be sure any questions were answered or if we needed anything . A great home away from home!

We stayed in the private suite for 6 nights while visiting friends in the area. Scott was so communicative, and huge kudos for his detailed instructions for arrival and check in (including photos as you walk in the property!) He’s really thought of everything for guests, it’s extremely clean, and the property has everything we needed and more. It rained for much of our stay so we didn’t get to enjoy the patio, but I definitely plan to try and stay again when visiting this summer. It’s a gem, and Scott really has one of the best STRs I’ve stayed at because of how he hosts. I’ve already recommended to friends who will be visiting PDX in a few months.

Very nice property with easy entry and exit. Very clean pleasant stay with all the amenities! I had such a lovely time in the patio suite, it was quiet and a nice place to wind down after a busy day in the city.

Me and my girlfriend came out for a wedding and stayed 5 days here. It was the perfect size and had a little kitchenette. Our host Scott was very friendly and quick to be accommodating, checked up on us if we needed anything and was very friendly. Right in the heart of Portland and next to everything. Will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my stay at the Portland Ecolodge, and I will definitely stay again the next time I am in Portland. The entire process was clear and organized, and Scott does a great job communicating throughout the entire process. The space was excellent! It has everything you could need. It is also close to delicious food and not far from the downtown area.

We had the best weekend in the Patio Suite at the 'Portland Eco House'! We really enjoyed exploring the neighborhood from this walkable location with easy access to restaurants & shops. Easy parking too. Inside, every detail was carefully attended to, with lovely decor, comfortable bed, organic sheets, coffee & tea at the ready. Scott was responsive to every request. All in all a perfect stay, and we hope to return on our next trip to Portland.

My wife and I wanted a quiet get away for our 15 year anniversary, so we decided on Portland and we picked the perfect place to stay. The Eco House was in a great neighborhood of Hawthorne, close to many great local bars and restaurants. We felt safe and Scott was a great host with great communication. The location waa great and although we had a car, one is not necessary to enjoy the neighborhood.We gained a new respect for recycling and how we categorize our waste Portland was great, the Eco House was clean, inviting, and had everything we needed for this couples anniversary getaway. We loved these accommodations. The bed and room were very comfortable, very easy to heat, if needed. Bathroom was pretty spacious and modern. We didn't use the fire pit but the outdoor space was great for slow coffee mornings. Scott, the host, had excellent communication and made everything very easy through the use of the guide. The location is great as well, walking distance for food and coffee. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay and experience! Thank you, Scott!

We stayed in the patio suite for 2 nights while visiting Portland. Scott’s home was in the perfect location to walk to many establishments and was incredibly comfortable and accommodating. We would certainly stay again!
