The San Juan guest house has gravel driveway parking spaces that leads to your own private entrance. Although the guest house is connected to the main house it is not shared with the rest of the house and is locked off. Upon entering you will have a full kitchen with all the kitchen ware for cooking and eating. There is a living room for relaxing, a dining table for your meals or space for work. There are 2 bedrooms one with a new queen bed and the other is a new double bed that you can catch

Stayed Sep 28, 2025This apartment was very clean and felt like home with the nice furniture and decorations. It was in a quiet neighborhood and close to area shopping and restaurants. It was very close to the Black Canyon National Park which we enjoyed visiting during our stay. Our overnight stay here was great and we would recommend this apartment to those visiting the Montrose area.

Stayed Oct 5, 2025We had a lovely and very comfortable stay in this cute spot. We were there to explore Black Canyon and the general area, so the location was perfect for us. It is well appointed and cozy inside. The beds were comfortable and we slept great after a long day outside. Everything was super clean, and communication was very good. We would definitely stay here again.

Stayed Jun 20, 2025This property was in a good location close to Black Canyon. The beds are quite firm so noted that they might not be the most comfortable for some people. My bed sheets had what appeared to be grease stains the inside of them when I messaged the host she responded with saying I could replace the sheets. There were also quite a few small bugs in the place. Idk if that’s normal in CO or not since I’m not from the area but something to note. I also to my knowledge didn’t receive any check out instructions from the host. We did what we thought was right and left.

Valerie is a fantastic host—so kind and always quick to respond whenever we had a question. She really made everything easy and stress-free. The house had everything we needed for a comfy, relaxing stay. And the location? Perfect—just a short drive to the stunning Black Canyon of the Gunnison! We’d come back in a heartbeat!
