Platano, charming residence in the Barchessa of Venetian Villa: Villa Pastori

The villa is located in a tranquil setting where the morning is greeted by the sounds of birds. Every detail is attended to with care. Alessandra is very kind and considerate. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Nice, spacious apartment. Very quiet, rural location with easy access to autostrada and train to Venice. I visited Ravenna, Padova, Vincenza, Verona and of course Venezia (several times). After a day of sightseeing you can cook your own meal or visit nearby restaurant. Apartment has a large bedroom with comfortable bed, good size bathroom and well equipped kitchen. Wi-Fi worked fine. A good supermarket is within a walking distance.

We enjoyed being away from the city and in a lovely garden. The beds were comfortable and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, especially when we hit pickpocket problems in Venice. The only slight downside was the second bedroom. One adult slept there and managed ok, but I think 2 adults would struggle!

Fantastic stay, everything we needed :-)

We spent a week in Villa Pastori in October 2009. We found the Villa well equipped, clean and pleasant. The service was very helpful and friendly but not imposing at all. The town Mira nearby is also very charming. The only downside is that the Mira/Mirano train station is a bit far to go by foot. We had rented a car, but Villa Pastori also provides bicycles for guests.

This well placed apartment in the small town of Mira is a good location to explore the area around Venice and the Veneto. For a family of 4 like us (two children aged 9 and 5) this was a good value place to stay with a good kitchen and two separate sleeping areas. There is a combination microwave but no oven. The apartment is modern from a conversion from one of the buildings in the grounds of an old villa. There is plenty of car parking space, bikes available to use, and only a short drive to the train station to catch the frequent service into Venice. We found that a car was essential. The apartment also has good air conditioning and a washing machine so all you really need for a two week stay, and only about a 35 minute drive from Marco Polo airport. There is no pool at this property but there are local facilities in nearby Dolo and Naola which kept our children happy. This was our second stay (also stayed in 2008 for a week).

Very tastefully restored buildings in the grounds of Villa Pastori, Mira. All modern facilities included; towels and bed linen changed weekly. Very clean and well maintained. The air conditioning is very welcome in the summer. The owners are the perfect hosts - during our visit they were always on hand, but without being intrusive. Mira is a friendly little town, with shops and restaurants in easy walking distance from the Villa. It is ideally located for exploring north-east Italy and well connected by road and rail. Don't worry if you don't speak Italian - the locals are all very patient.

A bonus Alessandros the owner was at my family home on holiday Initially the 18th Century Old house looked depressing but Villa Tigliani what a lovely surprise! modern facilities superbly renovated real quality,plus safe parking in the grounds. The kitchen well equipped, bathroom and toilets all spotlessly clean , huge bed, a little dark inside the villa but to sit out peacefully in the garden in the evening was lovely. Location well placed for Venice we drove down to the Fusina Ferry (15mins) safe all day parking 8€ took the hourly Ferry to Venice 10€ each return, to the heart of the city in 30minutes brilliant. We viewed the other villas too and all were excellent. Our 3 day stay was relaxing and superb Thanks Aless

The appartement is well equiped and comfortable. It's easy to go to Venice by bus or by train, or to visit countryside and villas along the Brenta with bikes.
