The rooms were clean and felt like a mountain cabin. However, bathrooms are very small without places to put your shaving cream, hair spray, etc. It was also missing chords/electrical plug for bedside lamp so we had to go out and buy a chord to have the bedside lamp work. Also, access to the silverware, dishes, glasses, etc. are below the kitchen sink versus in a overhead cabinet.
Very clean and cute. Loved the. View. The beds are uncomfortable but clean and have everything you will need during your stay.
Great location with a short drive to Durango & Pagosa Springs.
This little place was everything we hoped! We loved waking up on the hillside with the gorgeous snow covered hills outside in the winter. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars, the shower was so unbearably lukewarm that nobody in our family could hardly stand to get in the shower at night. Maybe this isn’t a problem in summer months. Hopefully they can work this glitch out for future guests. The property manager seemed to be very personable.
We stayed at this location for 6 nights and we thought it was great! Location was right in the middle of most areas we were traveling back & forth from (Durango, Silverton, Pagosa Springs). The cabin was decorated very cute & had appropriate appliances. There was no air conditioning (like most places in Bayfield), but the fans kept it pretty cool for being July! If you plan on cooking in the cabin be sure to bring cooking seasonings and foil other than that they had pots, skillets, plates, bowls, silverware, etc. Overall it was a great stay!
