Stayed Jan 27, 2024Casa Contenta is perfection! If anything, it's even more beautiful than the pictures show. Lin is a great host who made excellent restaurant recommendations and arranged for a talented masseuse to do massages in the shade on our rooftop terrace. Talk about luxury! Communication with Lin was easy and prompt. The location on the beach is great - - quiet and less crowded and great for swimming. We're looking forward to staying here again.

Stayed Dec 30, 2021We loved staying at Casa Contenta and hope to return again! Every question was answered quickly prior to booking and after. We used Gilberto to pick us up at the airport and upon return, as recommended by Lin. No need for a rental car, everything is within walking distance or Lin is willing to arrange a taxi. We thoroughly enjoyed using the sea kayaks, stand up paddle board, the bikes to tour around and just relaxing on the beach. The care takers, Mari and Samuel, are hard working individuals that keep the property tidy, clean, and functioning. The unit we stayed in was a two bedroom and two bath unit that was fully equipped with everything you need. It was immaculately clean and decorated beautifully. The kitchen was well stocked to get us going for cooking the fresh fish we bought on the beach several mornings. Finally, we can’t say enough good things about Lin and Jim(and Ookie their dog). They were family by the end of our stay. They offered suggestions on places to eat, shop, tour, and insight to the Mexican culture. They invited us out to dinner a few times and they hosted an evening of margaritas with everyone staying on the property. It was fun getting to know all the different people staying at the property throughout our stay. I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed Nov 30, 2021Our 2 bedroom suite included a full kitchen and outdoor and rooftop balcony. The villa is absolutely stunning. We enjoyed being at the further end of the beach where there is less foot traffic. It's truly a hidden gem located on a stunning beach and we were lucky to stay here for a few days of relaxation.

Stayed Mar 30, 2019My family and I happened upon Casa Contenta when searching for a smaller coastal city that hasn’t been found by many tourists (yet!). We’ve stayed in Punta Mita, Sayulita and San Pancho before. The combination of Los Ayala’s authentic charm and Lin & Jim’s beautiful property was EXACTLY what we were looking for. Heavenly! The suite and it’s amenities are perfect. My husband and I had one beautiful room, daughter and her friend had the other. The space is ideal for four. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed for cooking, which we did every morning. We sampled the great restaurants in Los Ayala and Guayabitos for lunch and dinner. The balcony and rooftops are incredible. Secluded enough but open to great views of the beach. Whenever we needed anything, Lin, Jim or the friendly couple that helps around the property were there to assist. It was nice to be on the outskirts of the hustle and bustle of the city. Casa Contenta is a short walk to the action, but down the beach far enough where not too many vendors go. That said, all are very nice and polite. One of the things we loved most about the property is the attention to detail in the overall decor. You could spend days just looking at all the painting, rock detail, and architecture. Authentic, colorful and gorgeous! I would be remiss if I didn’t note the sweet four-legged friends we made at Casa Contenta. They foster dogs and cats throughout the year, plus have their own pups. We are animal lovers and were away from our two pups so this was a treat! It’s important to point out that the animals are not everywhere - they wouldn’t be a nusance to anyone who didn’t like cats or dogs - but they were there when we wanted to get our “fur fix”! A big thank you to Lin, Jim and everyone who made Casa Contenta and Los Ayala an incredible experience. We can’t get back soon enough!!

Stayed Mar 20, 2018Casa Contenta is a hidden gem in Los Ayala. The owners Linda and Jim are fabulous hosts, very helpful and willing to offer any suggestions. When we walked into the home we were taken a back at the beauty- from the gorgeous tiles, the detail of the rocks inlaid in cement to the paintings on the outside of the house. It is truly one of a kind. What the photos do not show is the gorgeous/ humongous rooftop terrace with another bathroom and dining area under the palapa. We had incredible massages on the roof in the shade for 400 pesos by the sweetest woman who says goodbye with a big hug in appreciation. Just ask Linda for her name or she can set up the appointment! The layout of Casa Contenta is perfect for a family or 2 couples with space to hideaway and read or tan. Casa Contenta is at the south end of Los Ayala, away from the noise of town. It is a great swimming beach and we used the 3 kayaks and paddle board that come with the property. The owners and caretakers are on the property, as are 2 other suites. But everyone is tucked away in the palm trees and beautiful gardens and each casa is very private. You can walk down the street 3 houses to get fresh bread every morning or to any restaurant. Don't miss the street tacos! Vendors pop up roadside in every town with wonderful tacos. A short 3-5 minute drive takes you into the next town Guayabitos for the fish market. It is caught that day by one brother then the mother, other brother clean them/ filet them for you in the tiny store. We fed a family of 4 for 200 pesos of fish and had enough left over for breakfast. The kitchen has everything you need with adequate dishwear, blender and even a fresh bag of coffee on arrival. Just stop at the Chedraui or Mega grocery store in Nuevo Vallarta on your way here. Then the only difficult choice of your stay is whether to have your dinner and cocktail on the rooftop deck overlooking the palm trees and ocean or on the beach. When coming to PV don't stay in the craziness of the city... come to Casa Contenta.
