Joli Appartement à Deux pas de Paris

We had problems steel door getting into the complex , we got code very late , but finally got it luckily train was late

We had one night booked here (5/25/2024) for our stay in Paris. Originally we thought we would check in at 2pm but our plans in the day changed. I contacted the host saying that our check in would be later and closer to 9pm or later. When we arrived it turned out to be a very run down location. It did not feel safe at all. The walk from the metro to the apartment was longer than expected…again we felt very unsafe along the walk to the apartment. We had instructions on how to retrieve the key but the code/lock box was not working. I contacted the host…the only option was to contact via vrbo messenger chat because there was no answer via the phone number provided. Finally heard back from the host around 30 minutes later with a different code to retrieve the key. This finally worked. Then we followed the instructions given to us by the host to get to the apartment door. The instructions were detailed until you got to a certain point where there were three door options. Not one of these doors were labeled. We tried all of them, none of the keys worked. Some had lights on inside and looked to be occupied as someone seemed to walk by while we were by the door. Again tried to message the host on what to do. No response. We ended up having to put the keys back, walk back to the metro (felt even more unsafe during this walk back), ride the metro back into the city to book a last minute, very expensive hotel on a Saturday night because no other option. Finally found a room at 2am.

After a week long cruise around the British Isles, we came to a Paris to visit some friends. The property was perfect for our needs. It was definitely a struggle to get 2 large suitcases and 2 carryon bags up the stairs the night we arriver, but it was fantastic after that. The owner had everything labeled and a fantastic book with all the details, both in French and English, which was so helpful. It’s more off the beaten path than I originally thought, but it is very close to the metro. Overall, we would definitely recommend it and we would absolutely stay again.

Place was tight but clean and cosy. Host was communicative and had everything we needed. There was a rooftop rave next door which wasn't the owners fault, annoying though. Neighborhood wasn't great.

The little areas the apartment was in were so cool. The apartment itself was very cute and well equipped. The bed was super comfortable, I didn’t want to get out! Host is very helpful and kind, a good experience staying here
