We had a beautiful stay. The hosts are wonderful with lots of local information. The house was perfect. Hope to return soon!
Bob was very accommodating and helpful whenever we had a question. The apartment is above his Garage and it is fully modernized and stocked. We had a small heat issue, but once Bob was made aware the issue was resolved promptly. The hardwood floors are beautiful and the apartment has plenty of space. Bob also provided all amenities like towels, soap, laundry detergent, etc. The only things I would advise are: The TV is a bit small for the space, so if you plan on using it at all be aware (you shouldn't, Bentley's down the street should be your spot for all sports games, Bob recommended and it was great). I would also advise putting a twin bed under the window in the bedroom to add some liveability, but that's just my opinion. Oh! The shower is in the dark, a light above would help. Just a small nitpick item. Otherwise, we had a great time and would come back.
The apartment was perfect for my wife and I and are 8 month old. It was private, quiet, and a great location - not in town, but a minute drive away. Bob and Sherry were so wonderful, providing us with a baby gate, setting up a high chair for us, and going out to the library to get museum passes for us. It was a beautiful apartment that we hope we can visit again!
Well we had another awesome stay in Woodstock at the log home apartment. Bob and Sherry, you don't need another great review because you deserve a 10 star rating if we could give one! The best stay, the most comfortable bed, full amenities, amazing hospitality, easy access to everything...there are just so many positives that come with staying here! Bob & Sherry are simply the best! Wish we could stay more often!!!
Stayed here in late June, 2016... It's the kind of place where you walk in after a long day of travel and breathe out a satisfying Aahhhhhh, knowing that you picked a winner. I can't say enough nice things about the owners, Bob and Sherry...Bob helped us out numerous times with restaurant recommendations, trail maps and directions to nearby attractions. The place is well-equipped with everything you need for a great getaway in Woodstock... kitchen stocked with plenty of utensils, pots and pans, dishes, and a Keurig coffee maker (with coffee!). The place was very clean and well-maintained and just a short stroll to the main downtown area of Woodstock. My wife and I had an amazing stay here and would highly recommend it to anyone considering staying in this area.
We were made very welcome by Bob. The property had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was a short walk into town but the hill home was quite steep! We hired bicycles from Woodstock sports and cycling up the hill was a challenge! The local cycling is fantastic - quiet roads and sleepy hamlets. The Worthy kitchen did great beers and was an easy cycle home. Bentleys had live music on Saturday. The local supermarket was excellent. The mountain cremery was really friendly with great breakfasts!. We loved our stay and will definitely return to Vermont.
We were very happy with this accommodation. We were cosy, comfortable and warm even though the mornings and evenings were turning decidably frosty. The washer/drier combo was so efficient and welcome after already being on the road for a week or so. Bob was very helpful with all his suggestions and what he said we did! We especially liked the restaurant he sent us to, Worthy Kitchen. It wasn't worthy but it was righteous! I felt like I was in an episode of Man V Food. We went twice. I thought the road was a bit dark to walk at night so we ate early and then got all cosied up in the lodge. We adored Woodstock. So beautiful. Walk down by the river, cross the bridges, look at all the houses. Soak it all in.
We spent 6 days in June 2015 here and it was perfect. Very close to center but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet, perfect location for some relaxation. Bob and Sherry are wonderful hosts, with lots of information on Woodstock and surrounding area. Very pretty setting and has everything that you need, very comfortable and clean. We would highly recommend and are looking forward to returning again.
I cannot recommend this property enough! My husband and I were in town to run the Covered Bridges Half Marathon, and I happened to find Bob and Sherry's place when I was searching for somewhere to stay. The location was GREAT. It was so close to town (we walked everywhere), and Bob was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants and places to find great runner friendly food. The property is gorgeous. There is a ton of space and it is stocked with everything you could possibly need. Next time we are in Woodstock, I definitely plan to stay here!
We stayed this past weekend in Woodstock. Bob was a great host, we had everything we needed. This was the perfect location and the space had all the amenities we needed. Will definitely stay again!
