Stayed May 4, 2024Great place to stay. Enrico has a lovely property with lemon- and olivetrees. It's secluded by two gates and can be accessed from the coast and the upper street above the property. The road on the property is super steep, yet with a normal car no problem to handle. Enrico is super helpful and communication was perfect. Great location to explore the area with a great view and a really nice pool. We will be back 100%

Stayed Dec 31, 1969La Selva does have spectacular views and is very quiet but we feel the website is misleading as this should say that apartment ST02 is one of 7 apartments. It does say it has multiple rentals but only 2 apartments come on the website so we read this as being just 2 apartments plus owners living on site. The photos on the web page only show the larger apartments which we feel are misleading when the small one ST02 is not illustrated at all The drive in and out of La Selva is very steep with 7 hairpin bends (in fact my wife had to get out and direct me on many) and it should state that a small/medium car is required (we had a Mercedes E Class estate). We were told by Enrico to enter La Selva by the top road and descend down to it, and to leave by the bottom road, so to use the car to go to the beach would mean a long round trip of 5.3km km. The pool is lovely but is down three terraces using very steep steps some of which are very rough and uneven and is not mentioned on the description. The sea is a 10 minute walk down the steep drive or via steps but is very hard going back up (not a few minutes as described). We also expected to have 2 sun loungers per apartment, not having to share with the neighbours. The sun loungers were also very tatty. In the apartment we had no wine glasses, no bedside tables. No information pack to say where nearest supermarket, bread shop is etc. which would have been useful. I know Enrico is on site but it is still useful to read it yourself. Apartment ST02 only has 1 door and 1 window so there is no through draft so it is terribly hot. There is a fan in the bedroom but all this does is to circulate hot air, so an air conditioning would be much better. We make these comments to help people decide if this apartment is for them. All reviews are 5 stars which is one of the reasons we choose La Selva but felt disappointed when we got there for all the above reasons.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My husband and I spent a very comfortable week here. The apartment is clean, well equipped and spacious and also stays cool. Basic things like washing up liquid were provided. There is lots of outside space. The drive/walk up the hill from the coast road is steep but well worth it for the superb views, and also for the sense of peace and quiet. Enrico and his family are very welcoming and friendly, and are keen to make sure that you have everything you need. The pool is a good size for swimming, with plenty of sunbeds provided. We visited the beach at the bottom of the hill which is sandy and the sea is shallow. Enrico recommended the restaurant at Agriturismo La Selva (just over the hill) where we had the best meal of the holiday at a very reasonable price. Barbara welcomed us and gave us an excellent meal of home-cooked, and some of it was also home-grown, food. The only downside is that it is a fixed menu so you don't have a choice about what you get but we didn't have a problem with that. We would definitely recommend this property.

Stayed Dec 31, 1969My girlfriend and I stayed here for eight beautiful days in Feb/ March while on a rock climbing trip. It was a wonderfully peaceful and relaxing place to stay. The view is spectacular and the only sound you hear is the breeze blowing through the fruit trees. All the comforts of home were inside the apartment. The owners are Italian and the mother lives in an adjacent apartment. She greeted us with a huge box of fresh oranges, tangerines, grapefruit and the most delicious lemons I've ever eaten! We felt like we had the whole mountainside to ourselves! We didn't want to leave and we would most certainly come back again! The description of the place is accurate, but maybe understates how beautiful it really is here. The property was clean and expertly maintained. The owners were so nice and made every part of our stay effortless and pleasant.
