Historical 'Kage House' Short Term Rental located in Old Town Cape

We really enjoyed the views, privacy,convenience,comfort, and location. Kitchen was well equipped. The Kage House is a very nice and unique property. We would definitely stay there again! One small bathroom was the only disappointment, the shower was very nice!

History was impressive. Great stay. I will defined be back.

We loved this guest house! Great location to walk to restaurants. The back veranda was a beautifully cool place to sit in the evenings, but don't forget your bug spray. We will definitely be back to stay at this beautiful guest house.

The location could not be better! The view of the Mississippi River from the balcony is spectacular. The house is on the edge of downtown which makes it easy to see the Wall of art and history, all the shops and restaurants. We loved Cape Girardeau, as it’s fairly easy to get around through the town.

As always the Kage House is always above par. Keith is such a delightful host and this is my umpteenth time staying here. No matter the occasion we never leave without having a great time

We enjoyed this property so much!! The location was perfect, it was so clean, very accommodating, perfect amount of space, and awesome host! We were in town for AAU basketball and this rental gave us the comfort of being at home. The washer/dryer availability was a plus after sweaty ballgames! We will definitely be booking this rental in the future! Thank you for a great stay!

This upstairs unit is perfect for a long weekend getaway trip! It has everything you need and is in the perfect location to the downtown area. Walking distance to shopping and great restaurants! The area is very safe and my daughter and I are comfortable walking around the downtown area any time of day.Great owner with quick response time! We enjoyed our stay and will be back!!

There couldn’t be a better location for going out on the riverfront in Cape Girardeau. It is well set up with beautiful furniture and all the kitchen supplies you would need. Highly recommend.

This property is perfect for a stay in Cape. You can see the river from the property. It is in close proximity to several nice restaurants and bars. The property was extremely clean and well equipped, having the washer and dryer was a huge plus as we were in town for a volleyball tournament. It can be a little bit noisy on the weekends due to the area having a couple bars and traffic, but nothing too excessive. We will definitely stay here again.

This is our third stay here. We love the Kage House and its location. We live only 75 miles from here but it makes a nice weekend get away. The weekend we stayed they were having a car show and our granddaughter had a volleyball tournament in Cape so it worked out great. We will be back!

What an incredible stay! Waking up to the sunrise over the river was such a peaceful way to start each day. We loved watching the boats drift by and spotting birds while enjoying our morning coffee. The house itself is absolutely beautiful – full of charm and so welcoming. The bed was very comfortable. The thoughtful touches like the snacks and drinks made us feel right at home. The location was perfect – we walked to two local breweries, took a scenic walk along the river, and explored the charming shops on Main Street. We even tried our luck at the casino! Brunch at the restaurant across the street was the perfect way to end our trip. Thank you for such a memorable and relaxing experience. We can't wait to come back!

Great location in downtown Cape! When we travel we are usually disappointed with the bed and furnishings but this property had a very comfortable couch and bed. Beautifully decorated with deck with the view of the river!

Property was better than advertised. Really great host, and provided more than expected. The place was very inviting, clean, and spacious. It is in a very convienent and fun part of historical downtown Cape G, all within walking distance. It was relaxing to walk a block away and sit, watching the Mississippi river flow by. I highly recommend staying at this property, you will not be disappointed.
