Great location
We had a great stay at this apartment. Location was perfect and Jessica from the property mgmt company was very responsive. If you are looking for a great place for 3-4 people this is your place in peaceful and quiet downtown Manistee.
The location was perfect! My husband and I are retirees and we loved being able to walk to the shops and restaurants just down the street. The property was nicely furnished and quiet. The stairs are steep to the second-floor apartment, but we knew that from the information provided. One suggestion is that the apartment could use additional silverware. We would definitely stay there again!
The property was located downtown within walking distance to shops, restaurants, and the beach. The property was slightly dirty upon arrival. Bring anything you need because there are not back up materials provided (coffee, hygiene products, etc). The neighborhood was quite loud due to being downtown. Overall, good place for the price! Just come extra prepared!
Good exercise going up and down those 21 steps. Lovely walk along the boardwalk. Enjoyed walking in Nordhouse wilderness area, canoeing the mighty Manistee River from Bear Creek down to Lake Manistee, talking with Kerry at the little art shop, eating at the Blue Fish and going to plays at the lovely.old theater. Thanks also for the comfy bed.
I loved the location but the unit was very dirty and could use a bit of updating. Maybe anew mattress in the 2nd bedroom. We had an issue with the air conditioner but that was quickly resolved. I would invest in new window units.
Just as advertised had everything we needed and close to the river and pier, the apartment itself was clean and really a bit historic.
The location on River Street was great. We only drove once during our 4 days and that was to get to the Lake Michigan lighthouse. Food, shopping and interesting sights all within walking distance.
Great location downtown close to all wedding events
This is in an old apartment building, and the front door only connects to this 2nd floor apartment, which is a plus. Some of the renovations could have been done better, but that does not really effect your stay. The front bedroom is small and gets noise from the street (cars, people, dogs, etc..) The master bedroom and bath are good. The bed could use a less bouncy and noisy mattress. Nice to have a well supplied kitchen, with a small dishwasher and disposal. Easy to walk to several good restaurants, and to walk on the downtown Riverwalk. The first street beach is a close drive, or long walk, but we liked the 5th avenues beach on the other side of the river better I'm still curious about the safe door in the kitchen (see picture above) , and the hidden pantry behind it.
This was a fantastic rental! Check-in and out was easy, and it was a perfect location to get out and explore the town, beach, and river walk without having to get in the car. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to do some light cooking and the bed was comfortable after long days of being out and about. We loved being able to watch the freighters go up and down the Manistee River. We would definitely book again!
