Formerly the home of Merton Fitzpatrick, one of the founders of the original Republican Party, the house has seen many generations of occupants and is being restored while still operating today. What once was a mansion, is now comprised of 8 full apartments, 6 of the 8 apartment units are reserved for guests. The other two house long time tenants who love and understand Old Houses.
We enjoy the eclectic decor (Which Nancy has collected when she goes antiquing) , and cozy "home away from home" feel this old house has. We hope that you will too!
Very nice accommodations in the heart of Hillsdale
Convenient, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet given the downtown location. Host was responsive to requests. We're grateful for the time we had here!
Everything was easy and amazing for a quick stay over. Small town. But enough near by
It was a very quaint apartment. It was decorated nicely and the hostess added several things like coffee pods and donuts to make the stay extra special. The street lights were a bit bright through the windows and there was traffic noise but we enjoyed having a nice place to stay near the college and would book again.
Quick stop over night as we drove from home to visit family up North. Cozy and enough room for wife myself and dog. Off street parking and walking distances to diner or supper. Only negative is the steep stairs and maybe a more functional couch. Over-all i would say its a perfect little apt. to stay in Hillsdale for a stop.
This is the second time we’ve rented with Nancy’s units. It’s SO clean, neat antiques in the rooms, easy check-in and communication! The unit is very close to many downtown attractions and the college. Thank you Nancy, great job!
We had a great stay at the apartment. The apartment was clean, roomy, and comfortable. Being an old building, it was pleasantly quiet. We never heard the other tenants. We had our 2 dogs with us and they were very comfortable in the apartment and was nice that Stocks Park is so close! Look forward to another stay in the future!
Apartment was clean, charming, and so convenient for visiting Hillsdale... so close to everything. Really enjoyed it.
Easy in and out, great location near the college.
Exceptional cleanliness and very spacious. Yes the home was old but it was full of character, charm and history. Staff was gracious and helpful. I will definitely be staying next year.
Close to everything. Nice place to stay
I was very impressed and happy with the place. Spacious, clean, beautifully decorated, charming, conveniently located. It is just such lovely place. Nancy is friendly and helpful and patient with my question. Will definitely come back.
Cute place. Very clean and easy to access. Place had everything we needed. Could have used a few more towels but wasn’t a problem. Would definitely stay again.
